The soundof knocking wakes me up from sleep, and I’m surprised to find Lauren’s warm naked curves are no longer pressed against me like they were for the majority of the night. I’d woken up a few times throughout the night because Lauren shifts in her sleep and rubs against my cock nonstop.Even when she’s unconscious, she torments me.I sit up slightly when I hear voices at the door but I can’t see who it is. I pull on my sweats and a t-shirt and move closer to the door to hear Drew’s voice loud and clear. I’m not ready to make my presence known quite yet, but I do want to hear what he has to say now that he’s more sober and sentient.
“I’m sorry for being such an asshole last night, Lauren. It was just…difficult seeing you with someone else.” His voice sounds hoarse and he clears his throat.
“I get that.”
“I don’t want to ruin Charlotte and Will’s day, so you don’t have to worry about a repeat of last night.”
“Well, I would hope not. You’re the best man and his older brother and I’m the maid of honor; I would hope we could put our differences aside to celebrate two people that mean a lot to us.”
“We can, Lauren, I’m sorry.”
“Okay, I apologize as well if you felt ambushed by me bringing Vince. It wasn’t my intention, I just...” I raise an eyebrow because it was kind of her intention, though us confessing our feelings for each other, thereby makingmepossessive as hell, probably wasn’t. “Vince came out of nowhere. I wasn’t expecting any of this to happen, you know.”
There’s a bit of silence and just when I’m about to make myself visible to both of them Lauren speaks up. “I have to start getting ready.”
“Right, me too. Will scheduled us an eleven am tee time.” He groans. “I’m hungover as hell and he wants to go play golf.”
Lauren chuckles. “Have fun!”
The door closes and Lauren comes into view and gives me a knowing smile. “How long did you know I was standing here,” I ask her as I pull her into my arms.
“Long enough.” She smiles and wraps her arms around my neck.
“He full of shit?” I ask about Drew’s apology.
“No, I don’t think so. Besides, Diana probably gave him hell last night for getting belligerent. I’m sure she’ll keep him in check today. Do you care either way?”
“Not particularly, I just don’t want him bothering you anymore.”
“Hmmm, I’m thinking I’ll be a distant memory once I’m back in Chicago.”
“I doubt it. I haven’t stopped thinking about you since the moment I saw you in the elevator.”I run my hands down her body and cup her ass.
She narrows her eyes at me. “Or when you spent a full week calling me Laura?”
“Okay, you know I was just fucking around with you.”
She looks behind me towards the bed and then back at me before shooting me a cheeky grin. “I don’t have to be in Charley’s room for another hour, do you want to fuck around with me now?”

Three Years Later
“Auntie Lo, Auntie Lo!!!” Emma comes running through the suite waving a small piece of paper in her hand. I cringe thinking about her getting her dress dirty and luckily, my sister sees the apprehension all over my face and grabs her hand.
“What did we tell you about running in your dress? You don’t want to get it dirty before everyone sees how pretty you look in it, right?” She kneels down in front of her to brush her fluffy white dress and fixes the flowers in her hair.
“But Mommy, look! Uncle V sent her a note!” I turn my head to the side hearing her mentionUncle V,also known as my soon to be husband, Vincent. My mother had just set my veil in place and they had sprayed my face with setting spray so my makeup wouldn’t move and now Vince is about to shoot that all to hell with hislast note to the bride.
Emma places it in my lap and gives me a smile. “He said make sure no one gets this but you.”
“Did he pay you for your transportation services?” I ask her.
She holds up a five dollar bill with a smile.“You know it!”
