And that didn’t sit well with him. At all.
He rose. “If you will excuse me, Adalyn, I need to find Louisa and go for our morning ride.”
“She is already at the stables.”
“Then I will see you later,” Owen said curtly and left the breakfast room.
He wanted to think it was none of Adalyn’s business if he had kissed Louisa but he knew how much she loved her cousin. It was interesting, though, that Louisa hadn’t shared with Adalyn that the two of them had kissed. He wondered why Louisa had withheld that information and then decided that it might have embarrassed her to admit it, especially since nothing would come of it.
Owen would refrain from thinking about those kisses. Today was about riding.
And flirting.
He had put off Louisa long enough. It was time she learned to flirt a bit before the houseguests arrived at Cliffside.
