“This is beautiful,” I whispered, glancing at Noah.

He smirked and took off his pants. “I told you, you’d like it.”

A simple antique sink stood in the corner, a thick, black-framed mirror above it. The heavy white drapery with crystal tiebacks hung at the sides of the large window, the area open and light.

The rumble of steel pipes disrupted the silence, and Noah stepped into the walk-in shower, water cascading over his head and down his naked body. Muscles defined him, his back rippled and carved as if made of stone, his ass firm and fucking perfect. The water that slipped down his back made the tattoo on his lower right side come to life. It enhanced every intricate line, the flock of birds escaping the shattered bullet seemed to move with the motion of his arms as he rubbed the water from his face.

How could I not stand there and shamelessly admire the magnificence that was Noah Alexander?

“You going to stand there and perv, or get in here and join me?”

“Who says I’m perving?”

“I can practically feel your eyes burning into my back.” He turned and faced me, his skin slick with water, shoulders broad, chest ripped, and cock hard.

My lips parted, and desire bloomed anew between my legs.

He slanted a brow. “My cum is still dripping from your cunt, yet you want me to fuck you again.”

“It happens when you make me go weeks without you.”

“I’ll be sure to remember that.

“Don’t even joke about it.” I got into the shower with him and closed my eyes, the warm water lapping against my cold flesh. The earthy smell of argan oil blended with shea butter wrapped its relaxing scent around every muscle as Noah lathered the soap down my back.

“Don’t ever leave me again.” The plea rolled from my mouth before I could even finish the thought.

There was a split second of a pause as he ran the sponge across my skin, a split second of silence followed by no response at all.

I turned and looked up at him, his expression unreadable, but his eyes gave him away with the lack of a promise. “I’m serious, Noah.”

“I know.”

“Then promise me.” Steam swirled around us.

“You know I can’t do that.”

My heart hiccupped and I tilted my head toward his hand as he touched my shoulder.

“We don’t know what’s going to happen, and I don’t want to make you any promises I can’t keep.”

I placed a palm on my belly, thinking of the life growing inside me. Would he say otherwise if he knew that I carried his child? Would he promise to stay then? And if he did…would it be because he wanted to, or because this baby left him no choice?

Chapter14

Noah

The sight of her peaceful face was fucking priceless. Her skin was as pale as the moonlight; her long, wavy hair a fiery contradiction to the calm that veiled her as the grandfather clock in the living room struck two.

I could sit in the dark like a fucking vampire and watch her sleep for hours. It was during the early morning hours that I would try and figure out the enigma that was us. Try to understand how, after years of refusing to let go of my past, this redhead literally came out of nowhere and made me want something I firmly believed I didn’t deserve.

A new life.

A happy life.

Love.

Sienna didn’t take no for an answer. She convinced me not to be afraid to fall. And that’s what I did. I fell. For her.
