“Seriously?” Liam gawked. “Why?”

“I guess we know how he was so successful so young. It’s a special sort of cheating to gain enough power to make your own rules.” Jordan sounded disgusted. “Well, not this time. He won’t be getting rich off ruining the lives of my team. Fuck that. Aarav, circle around front and make sure no one else tries to squat in the place. Nolan, Marcus, Knox, Sola, Ransom, and Levi will be there in forty-five minutes to document the scene, verify identities, and dispose of the bodies, then clean out the rest of the equipment. I’ll take care of coming up with a cover story. By morning, it will be like that hellhole never existed.”

Ace went to the computer rack and unplugged the lone drive set up in the center like a shrine.

“That’s the one,” Ruby confirmed. “Bring it to me so I can decommission it permanently and we’ll be set.”

“It’s over.” James sighed for them all.

Ace crossed to Liam, who was sitting up, and held out his good hand to help him to his feet. Liam didn’t stop there, he continued his forward momentum to crush Ace in a bear hug that practically lifted him off his feet.

Then Liam kissed the shit out of him. “Ace, that was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

“Hey, I thought me tied to your bed had that honor,” Ruby added, making them aware that everyone back at headquarters could hear and see through their body cams.

Oh well.It was finally his turn for payback after the endless sickeningly sweet and sexy shit he’d walked in on this past year.

“It will be, when we get home.” Liam retrieved Ace’s gun and gave it back to him, exchanging it for his own.

Ace clicked off his comms and put his hand over his body cam in case Liam was about to let Ruby down again. He motioned for Liam to do the same then asked, “You really mean that?”

“Yeah. It’s about time I accept that for some reason, the two of you picked me even though you’re plenty capable of taking care of yourselves.”

“I’m not broken anymore.”

“You never were, Ace. I was.” Liam kissed him again. “But you…and Ruby…you fixed me. I love you. Both of you.”

Ace reengaged his equipment.

“Aven, how fast can you get us home?” he shouted. He took Liam’s hand and dragged him toward the exit, willing to sprint the entire way to the chopper if it got them there one moment sooner. Because he had plans for the rest of his night.

And the rest of his life.
