“This is the life,” Kyra purred as she stretched out between Van and Ollie.“We have our own space.Privacy.No noisy-ass bandmates up late hanging out or a race for the shower in the morning.I could really get used to this.”
Van grinned.“I’m already used to it.Sorry, Ollie.Looks like you’re stuck with us.”
“I do not mind one single bit.”Ollie rolled over, the now-familiar glint in his eyes proclaiming that his morning wood was about to be put to good use.
It had been two weeks on the road together since Kason and the band had gone back on tour. They only had one more show, tonight, and then they’d be off for the holidays. The reality was, Van felt like he was already on vacation. His whole life seemed like one incredible trip, because he spent it with Kyra, the woman he loved. And Ollie…
Whatever he was becoming.Best friend? Not exactly.Van couldn’t say he felt the same about the other guy as he did about Kason, who’d held that title for years. In only a few short months, they were something different.Something more intense. It must have been because they shared so many intimate moments.Or maybe because they had such similar pasts.
He wasn’t quite ready to name the feeling, but he’d be lying if he said they didn’t share a special bond.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”Ollie asked.
“Like what?”Van sat up, crossed his arms, and put his back against the wall.
Kyra bridged the gap between them resting one hand on his knee and the other on Ollie’s arm.“If he doesn’t want to say it, I will. You were looking at him like you look at me sometimes.Like you give a shit.”
“Because I do.”Van couldn’t believe she could still doubt it.“I meant it when I said I love you, Kyra. And Ollie is part of you.”
“Ouch. For the record, I care about you for you.”Ollie told Van, making him squirm.“And I don’t mean that as a come on.I mean…unless you want me to mean it that way.”
“Oh.”Van had no idea what else to say.
Is that what he wanted? He couldn’t deny that his cock was as hard as the other man’s while they were having this discussion. But he’d never thought about having sex with a guy before.
Okay, he’d never really imagined he’d be in a committed threesome either.
What if…
“Do you mean to tell me you’ve never fooled around, even a little, with another guy?”Ollie cocked his head.
“Nope.”Van shook his head.
“Not even exchanged a jerk off while sharing a dirty magazine when you were a teenager?”Ollie spread his hands wide like it would have been the most natural thing in the world if he had.
“Uh-uh.”
“Or sucked your roommate off when they helped you with the bills and you were flat broke?”
“Jesus, Ollie.No.”
As if he either wanted to see how far he could push Van or was investigating how judgey Van would be about Ollie’s past, he kept escalating hishypotheticalsituations.“Let someone fuck you if you could fuck them back when you wondered what sex felt like but were too shy to talk to girls yet?”
“No way in hell!”Van sputtered.
He assumed Ollie was busting his balls as usual—until he realized the other guy wasn’t cracking up at Van’s obvious discomfort. He was dead serious.Shit!“Do people really do that stuff?”
“Uh, I did.”Ollie scrubbed his hand over his face.“But maybe I’m just lame.”
“You’re not.”Kyra jumped in then, rubbing Ollie’s arm with reassuring strokes of her palm.
“I don’t think so either.”Van had to be sure the record was straight about that.
“Maybe people who wanted to take advantage could see that I was open to the possibility.”Ollie shrugged.“Either way, it didn’t seem like the worst way in the world to get stuff I needed, and I’m not going to lie, I enjoyed it too.”
Van tried to hide his shock.“I guess because as long as I’ve known you, you’ve had a crush on Kyra, I never realized…”
