“Only you, Darius,” she purred without delay, curling her arms around his body to force him closer to her.
From now on he would be the only man who touched those lush lips of hers. The thought drove him wild.
Before he lost complete control over himself, he thrust inside her. A pleasure he didn’t believe was possible surged through him.I’ll have no one after tonight,he thought to himself as he worked his hips up and down, his lips ravaging hers.
She moaned against his lips, her nails digging into him, as if for dear life, as her body began convulsing. When her cries of ecstasy bounced off the walls around them, he lost the little bit of control that remained, losing himself to the moment.
Unable to control his release any longer, he allowed himself to let go, bellowing to the night.
After tonight, he’d never be with another again. That thought couldn’t make him any happier.
She’s mine. Forever.
Chapter Forty-Six
Eva Maas
Several hours after Eva experienced her mind blowing first bite from a vampire, she laid at Darius’ side, indisputably exhausted.
Sleeping with a human was one thing. Sleeping with a vampire?Earth shattering.
For the first time in Eva’s life, shecouldn’t keep up. How could she? A vampire’s stamina was extraordinary compared to hers
To think only a few hours ago she believed being bitten by a vampire would be excruciatingly painful. She couldn’t have been more wrong.
Rolling onto her side, she looked at Darius in all his unclothed glory. He rested with his arms behind his head, blood splattered across his body. His expression screamed satisfaction.
Eva began tracing her finger along the rigid outlines of his stomach, marveling at his beauty. Right now, she felt like the luckiest woman in the world. “Any chance you’re hungry again?”
He laughed. “I could drink from you for days if you could handle it. But you can’t. The more blood I take from you the weaker you become.”
“But I’m already weak.” She was a sorceress, after all.
“Exactly. I won’t risk it.” His eyes began roaming across the puke green colored bed they laid on. Well, it wasn’t exactly all puke green anymore. It was now seriously tainted after their activities.Vampires. “Look how much blood you lost, and this is all the blood that Ididn’tdrink. We ruined the bed.”
Eva scoffed. “Good riddance. I hated that quilt.” Hopefully this quilt would remain stained forever. Though, the more she thought about it, the more she equated the mess they were laying in into a crime scene. Someone was going to see this. It wasn’t like they could hide the mess they made in someone’s home. “Do you think werewolves, uh… see this much blood while they’re, um… you know.”
“Fucking?” He said all too casually, smirking in her direction.
“Yes, fucking.”
“No, I doubt it. But I was told a vampire lives here.” That was right. Eva remembered Kelly explaining that she had a vampire friend. “I can’t imagine they’ve never seen this before.”
Then, suddenly, his grin faltered.
Growing worried, Eva asked, “What is it?”
“There’s something I have to tell you.” Whatever it was that he had to tell her brought his mood down. Eva couldn’t imagine it beingthatbad. If Darius was anything, it was overly serious. Hopefully, he was thinking too deeply about something that would turn out to be nothing at all.
“Go on.”
“Now that you know what it’s like to be bitten by a vampire,” he paused as if having difficulty finding his next words.
“I certainly do. You taught me a lesson today. I won’t doubt you again.”
He tried to smile, but it was forced. She needed to know what was bothering him.
“I did try drinking from someone after I met you.”
