The anticipation was almost too much to handle.
“Look at me,” Darius commanded, his fingers stopping just before reaching her now drenched folds. “I need you to look at me.”
“Mhmm,” she obeyed, doing exactly as he asked. Looking into his eyes while in this position put her in the most vulnerable state she had ever been in. Despite how exposed she was, both physically and emotionally, she couldn’t remember a time when she felt thisright. “That’s it.” He wickedly grinned while his fingers worked their way between her folds.
Her face tightened at his touch. She was struggling to keep her eyes open for him.
He must have noticed her struggle. “Don’t look away,” he demanded. She nodded, keeping her eyes on his, allowing him to see exactly what she was feeling. Gods help her, shewantedhim to see exactly what she was feeling. “I want to see how much you want me, how much you need me.”
“Then see,” she purred. To hide her desire for him would be impossible. She was laying herself out in the open. For him.
This is me. All of me,she thought.
When a finger dipped inside her she began to rock her hips against his hand, her body begging him for more. “That’s it.” His voice was rough, his expression carnal. “That’s it. Move for me.” She did exactly that, moving in rhythm with the movement of his finger, not daring to look away from him. “Tell me you want me. I want to hear you say it, or so help me I’ll stop.”
“No!” She called out with much more enthusiasm than she expected. A devilish grin spread across his face. He was exuding confidence.“Uhh,” she moaned, rocking her hips faster. “I want you. I want you so fucking badly.” She was laying it all out there for him tonight. Everything she felt he now knew.
She was happier because of it.
“That’s a girl,” he said, plunging another finger deep inside her. “That’smygirl. After tonight, you’ll want for no other man.” His stare became dark, possessive. He wanted her. All of her.
Forever.
A thought crept into her mind, quickly taking over her thoughts like a rapidly spreading virus.Could I have a life with a vampire?
She wasn’t stupid, she knew she’d have to feed him eventually, and the thought of him piercing her neck left her squeamish.
“Dammit, Eva,”Darius groaned, ripping his hand from her pants. There was no hiding what she felt tonight. Not even this. “What is it?”
“I, uh…” What was she supposed to say? She didn’t want this moment to end, which was exactly what would happen if she admitted how apprehensive she became when the thought of him biting her arose.
“What?”He was upset.Of course he was upset. He was about to possess his lifeblood fully. Gods, she wanted him to possess her fully. She wished the thought of his teeth piercing her skin would just get out of her damn mind!
Her voice pitched when she said, “I… in your idea of us being together, do you picture yourself drinking from me?” When she asked this his stare hardened, but he said nothing. “Well, do you?” She couldn’t believe she was actually considering allowing him to bite her. Still, that didn’t make her any less terrified of the act.
“I have every right to possess you in any way I want. Besides, it would be impossible not to.”
Eva blinked. Obviously, he had no idea she was about to allow him to bite her, or his possessive vampire ego wouldn’t have taken over.
The nerve of him to claim he had rights to her body! She pushed away from him, fuming. “Let’s get one thing straight, no one has anyrightsover my body except me.Understood? Also, it’sverypossible to not bite me. Eat bagged blood or something.”
“That’s where you’re wrong. A vampire can’t fuck his lifeblood without drawing blood from her. It’s instinctual.”
She was livid. “What itisis animalistic!” She shot up to her feet.
He came to a quick stand, his body towering over her. “You don’t think I know it’s animalistic? The last fucking thing I want to be is a vampire, but I have no choice in the matter, do I?” He wildly pulled at his hair. “Youwilllearn to accept me.” He turned and walked away from her, making his way to the front of the plane. To Karina.
Infuriated, she called out, “Accept you? Tough luck, because that’s not happening any time soon!” The second those words left her mouth she wished they hadn’t. They weren’t true. She did accept him, she just didn’t accept moments like this. Moments when he acted as if he had ownership over her body. Hehadto know he didn’t by now.
Without looking back and with coldness in his voice, he said, “You act as if I’m giving you a choice.”
