"Mine?"
"You complained you didn't have one. Now, you do. Call the shifter."
"Call the shifter," her and Void mumbled mockingly at the same time. They shared a look with one another, both trying to refrain from breaking out into a fit of laughter.
She didn't have time to analyse what this little gift meant. If it even was a gift. Maybe this was something she was just meant to have. It was the latest edition. iPhone 11. The thing probably cost more than every phone she'd ever owned in her life combined.
Zamorra dialled the number and raised the phone to her ear. "What should I say?" She asked as it began to ring.
"Tell him you're horny and looking for a good fuck. That will guarantee he invites you over," Darius suggested innocently.
Luther glared at him, his eyes flashing red.
"Don't you dare say that," Void hissed.
"Well, tell me what I should say, then."
"Just tell him you're looking for a fix."
The phone stopped ringing and the line connected.
“Speak and you shall be heard."
Zamorra recognised his voice instantly. Deep and sultry. Definitely Arturo.
"Hi." She raised her voice an octave, trying to sound more girly and pleasant. "I don't know if you remember me, we met at Volume a few nights ago-"
"Ah yes, the sassy silver haired enigma. I was wondering when you were going to call."
Her eyes flicked to Luther and she raised her brows. "Uh yeah, that's me. Glad you remember me."
"Of course I do darlin', you're a hard one to forget. You ready for that something more?"
"Yes, actually." She cleared her throat. "I just caught my boyfriend cheating on me with my sister and I desperately need something to help me forget all about it."
"Well, isn't that a damn shame," Arturo drawled. "I've got just the thing for that."
"You do?"
"I do, darlin'. 27 Hale Street, Brisbane City. Shall we say, half an hour?"
"Half an hour? Yes, I can do that."
"Beautiful. See you then. Oh and babe, don't bother coming if you're not prepared to give it up. I'm not taking cash as payment this time."
I can't wait to get my claws on him.
Get in line.
"Got it. See you soon." Zamorra quickly hung up before she could say what she really wanted to say and shivered. "Geez, I need a shower."
Axel typed his address into the computer and brought up an image of Arturo's house from a camera across the street. "His place is 13 minutes from the warehouse."
"That can't be a coincidence," Maddox commented.
"Toma, send a couple men to 27 Hale Street, roughly 20kms east from your current location. Have them sit on the house and monitor who comes and goes," Luther ordered.
"Right away, Sire."
