“I know,” I said.

He silently snorted and continued watching the ritual.

I did the same, wishing there was something I could do to speed things up all the while understanding doing so would likely make something backfire. So, instead, I remained patient. Because soon, Savannah was going to be mine.

SAVANNAH

I had never felt more powerful and beautiful and energetic as I did in the first moments after the ritual. And that feeling increased tenfold when I joined the men. The way all three of the men stared at me, smiling adoringly, I adored it. Being around the three of them was something I wanted to become used to. Toni might have been onto something when she mentioned my three men.

With the ritual done, I headed inside to clean up and change. About half an hour later, I joined the men in the lounge.

“The woman of the hour!” Noah said. “She returns!”

I smiled. “Something like that.”

“Am I right?” Jacob asked. “Did you figure out the location?”

I looked between the three men and smiled. “I did.”

“Excellent,” Liam said, jumping right down to business. “Now we can form a plan.”

I nodded. “She’s in an old warehouse on the northwest side of Denver, just outside the city limits. It’s very secluded, but it’s also easily accessible. We’ll go in after I cloak us. The doors won’t be locked, and there won’t be much in the way of security outside a few numbers scattered throughout the property. Maybe a couple dozen, but they shouldn’t be an issue even if things go sideways.”

“Sounds like a plan,” Noah said. “Let’s go save my sister.”

I held up a hand. “Hold on, I have something I want to talk about.”

Once I was sure I had their attention, I nodded.

“Now that I know I can cast magic beyond their blocks, I know I’m capable of handling business. My only concern is you three not being able to shift.”

Liam stepped closer and placed his hands on my upper arms. He gazed into my eyes. “You let us think about that when and if it comes time to.”

“Yeah,” Jacob said with a wink. “We got this. You just do your thing.”

I flicked my gaze to Noah.

He smirked. “When have I ever been worried about shifting?”

I shrugged. If they weren’t worried, then I shouldn’t be worried either. Still, I couldn’t ignore that small lump that had formed in my stomach. I needed to trust in them though, so I nodded and said, “Fair enough.”

“We need to get Avery,” Liam said.

“Agreed,” I said.

“There’s no time like the present,” Noah added, clapping his hands together and rubbing them. “I’m ready to kick some ass.”

I chuckled. “With hope, it won’t come to that.”

“Let’s move out,” Liam added, standing from his seat and heading toward the door.

“We’ll take one vehicle,” I said. “It will be less conspicuous.”

“Smart,” Jacob said.

I nodded and followed the men out to the car. We all filed into it, and using my directions, I guided us toward the location. Once we were half a mile out, I said, “We need to stop here and walk the rest of the way.”
