Ava:Is there something you want to tell us, Addy?

The muscles inside my chest begin to tighten as panic sets in. Surely, Masen wouldn’t have told her anything? He wouldn’t dare.

Me:Like what?

Jessa:Oh… spill, Ava.

Luna:Addy got blind drunk last night drinking shots with Haden and Uncle Lex had to stop her.

Millie:Wait, with Haden? I smell age gap affair.

Ava:Hey, let’s not disrespect Presley.

Luna:I’d so do Haden, especially with the piercing.

Ava:How do you know about the piercing?

Luna:Your mom? I dunno… I think Jessa told me.

Jessa:Hey! You weren’t supposed to tell anyone. Kate told me not to say anything.

Ava:Ladies, back to Addy, please.

Me:So I drank a bit more than usual. So what? And to clarify, many of us drank with Haden. Not just me.

Ava:According to Masen, you were on some roll last night Miss Attitude.

I sit up, pushing Cruz away complaining he just found his groove. I re-read the message, trying to read between the lines. So, Ava spoke to Masen. But what did he say?

Me:Is that what he said?

Ava:Yeah, that’s it. I texted him when he was dropping his date home. It caught me by surprise he wasn’t in bed with her. Must have been a full moon last night, everyone was acting weird. Remember the pool boy I had a crush on who the parentals hired? I ran into his mother at the hospital. Turns out he was a she pre-pool boy career.

Millie:Ava, are you even surprised?

The group chat continues to which Ava goes on about the lengths she’d go to seduce Henrik, our pool boy. I silence my notifications, sitting back quietly to attempt to watch the movie.

But all I can think about is last night and how hedidn’tjump into bed with her.

Eric is sitting across from me after dropping by the office to see if I was available for lunch. I welcomed the invitation, eager to pick his brain before I officially go insane.

“I’d like to ask you a hypothetical question for research purposes.”

Eric nods with an eager smile. “Is it about how Adriana can squirt multiple times if she’s being fingered?”

I choke on my saliva, coughing out loud as people around the café watch on. The attention is embarrassing, to say the least.

“Oh my God,” I whisper, leaning in. “No, and what the hell are you talking about? I can’t even with you and your brain sometimes.”

“It’s just baffling, that’s all,” he says nonchalantly.

“I think I just lost my appetite. You do know she’s my aunty, right?”

“Yes, but aren’t you the least bit curious?”

“No,” I tell him firmly. “And don’t you dare bring up Mom. I’m well aware my parents still have sex. It doesn’t mean you need to go into detail.”
