“It’s nothing special. I promise.”
She rolled her eyes so hard. “You know what, I’ve made so many changes for you and I think you can try to do things off schedule just for one day. I promise you will be okay. If you should start to break down, we will come back home.”
With every second I was silent, her face started to change.
“Or you just don’t want to be seen with me?”
“Don’t start that shit, Grey.”
“Nevermind. I don’t know why I thought last night changed anything. It’s how you are with every girl,” she said before snatching her plate and drink up. “I’m finishing my breakfast in my room. Do not follow me.”
I watched her walk out of the room. If it wasn’t so early, I’d call for something stronger.
I picked up my water and took a big sip.
“Got your hands full this time, don’t you?”
“You don’t know the half, Chef Nita.”
“But she’s different. You like her.”
I looked at her. “What you talking about?”
“Unless she slept in yourspecial room, she was coming from yourbedroom this morning when I came in.”
“What? She negotiated that. It means nothing.”
“She negotiated it. Of course. I have to run out and get you a few things. I’ll be back in a few. Do you need anything before I go?”
“No, I’ll see you in a few.”
When I was done eating, I wanted to go to my room, but somehow my brain led me to the front of Grey’s door. I laughed when I saw that she’d put her ‘Concede’ sign back on the door. I knocked on the door a few times before opening it. There was steam coming out of the bathroom, so I walked across the floor and pushed the door open. She was in the shower letting the water run over her. I watched for a few moments before I pulled the door open.
“Grey.”
“Oh my God!” she gasped. “Can you knock please! You could have given me a heart attack!”
My eyes followed the water bouncing off those pretty ass nipples, and she raised her arm over them.
“How can I help you?”
“We can go to Central Park.”
Her eyes lit up. “But?”
“But what?”
“Oh, I thought this was going to be in exchange for something. You know you have the tendencies of a loan shark.”
I chuckled. “Not this time.”
“Okay, thank you.”
“I saw you laid clothes out on the bed. Where were you going?”
“Central Park. And then these museums that I see on Instagram. They have good places to take pictures too.”
Surprised, I said, “Oh, I see.”
