Page 116 of Stolen Kiss

I paused in my steps and Evelyn looked back with a knowing smile on her face, though by the sight of her blushing cheeks, I knew she had been checking Jace out as well, her brown eyes lit.

Jace was tall and imposing, as he’d always been. He’d always reminded me of an Olympic swimmer, with his broad shoulders and trim waist. Leaner than Jensen—who reminded me of a professional football player—but he was all muscles, something his maroon button-down shirt couldn’t hide. Like Jensen, he was wearing dark jeans, and he had dark brown hair cut down short to an almost buzz cut, and the short length of hair on the top of his head was neatly combed up.

His blue eyes—his most prominent feature—stood out in stark contrast against his tan skin, and I knew they were Evelyn’s favorite feature. She talked about it enough that I took notice every time I saw him.

Both men were standing close, talking to each other, and from their expression, it looked serious.

Evelyn squeezed my hand and tugged me down the rest of the way. Just when we reached the last step, the men looked up.

Jensen’s eyes automatically ate me up, the heat in them unmistakable.

And I was eating it up. I stood where I was while Evelyn let go of my hand and made her way over to her husband, Jensen’s gaze holding me immobile.

“Fuck,” he said softly under his breath. The house was quiet enough that I heard it even from where I stood as he made his way over to me.

I didn’t get the chance to react or think when he leaned down and pressed his lips roughly against mine, and just as I was about to deepen the kiss, he pulled away.

I knew my eyes expressed my disappointment when Jensen swiped his thumb across my bottom lip. “Later,” he promised darkly.

I grabbed his forearms and tugged. “Really? You won’t run?”

His eyes took me in for a beat. “I won’t run,” he echoed.

I nodded in satisfaction.

I needed him. It had been days since I last felt him move inside of me. Since I had felt that closeness with him that could only be achieved when we were connected. I missed it so badly, I was almost shaking with it.

“Let’s go,” Jace said, his voice booming.

Jensen wrapped his arms and my shoulder and tucked me under his big body. I snuggled in, taking in his unique scent that always managed to calm me down.

Together, the four of us walked out the door, and I could feel a thrill of excitement just humming beneath the surface of my skin.
