“You are such a fucking douche,” I said.

“You nailed the princess this weekend?” Trent shouted from the center of the line of boys.

“Not just me,” Damian called back. “Asher had her, too. She stayed all weekend at my house. We fucked her all over my house. Such a greedy little thing!”

Gasps and laughter rang out, and I felt my face turn fifteen shades of red. I couldn’t believe he was such a dick. Even after everything he’d done to me, somehow, he always surprised me.

“You never letmestay at your house! You kicked me out!” a girl shouted from somewhere down the line.

“That’s because she was better with her mouth than you were, Angelica. You use yours more for whining than anything else.”

“Ugh! You bastard!”

Damian laughed behind me and then poked me in the back. “Go ahead,Tempe. Tell them all about it. How many times did you come again? We were the best you ever had.”

“Damian,” Asher said from down the row.Oh, thank God, I thought. He’ll stop him.“I think it was like four. I lost count. She just kept begging for more.”

My eyes snapped over to Asher, and I leveled a glare at him that I hoped he saw in his fucking nightmares. More laughter echoed out around me and fueled my rage.

“What a slut,” someone said.

“She will fuckanyone!” another said.

“You are a fucking whore, Temperance!” Harper shouted. “You’ll fucking pay for this. Mark my words.”

Becky’s laugh rang out louder than the rest. “Boys, I think you’d better get an STD test. That kitty plays withallthe kids in the sandbox.”

Damian laughed again, and it took all I had not to lose my shit and punch him in the face. “That may be so, but they didn’t get her off like we did. Shealwayscomes back to me. Don’t you,Tempe?”

I stood and turned. Everyone saw me as a whore anyway, so fuck it!

“Actually, Damian, Justin was busy last weekend, and I was bored. You should know whose mouth is my favorite because you and Asher watched it happen, you fucking pervs. You two could have left anytime, but you both stayed there, beating it together while watching us and being creepy as hell. Seriously, who the fuck does that?”

A dark smile curved the corner of my lips as I watched all the humor drain away from his face and turn to rage instead. His fists clenched in his lap, and I couldn’t help but egg him on. I went in for the kill.

“Well, now that I think about it, it makes sense. I guess you guys felt like you had something to learn. But from what I could tell, you didn’t take good enough notes because Justin iswaybetter than either of you. His dick is bigger, too. But you probably already knew that, which is why the two of you have to show off like this—to make yourselves feel bigger and better by trying to make me feel bad about being a sexual person. Did Daddy Wolfe teach you that? To talk down to women? To beat them into submission? We all know how you worship the ground he walks on. He must besoproud of you. Thespittingimage ofDaddy.”

The room went silent as Damian and I stared each other down. I didn’t dare look away. It was like looking a predator in the face. Ineededhim to see I wasn’t afraid of him.

He stood and walked down the bleachers to stand in front of me. Leaning forward, his nose was only an inch away from mine. “Bitch move, Wilder. Even for you.”

I shook my head once, keeping my eyes on his. “You brought this on yourself, and you fucking know it. After all, it wasyouwho said I was annoying because I refused to go for the low blow, even knowing it would win me the battle and possibly the war, right?”

“Youwillpay for this. The gloves are off.”

“They were never on. Be careful, Wolfe. I think you may have underestimated the Lamb.”

“Not a mistake I’ll make again. Ipromiseyou that.”

With that, he stomped off and left the room. While I knew that was a victory for me, making him so angry he had to flee the room, I knew I’d only poked the bear. Whatever it was he had planned, it would be bad.

Verybad.

And he was right. My anxiety was not happy about it.
