"When will she be out of house arrest?" I whispered. I wanted to see her, do the whole girlfriend thing and eat ice cream and cookies until we threw up. Zoey had been nothing but an angel to me. She invited me into a town of people that rarely talks to strangers. Zoey welcomed me into her home; she helped me find my own and told me to get a dog. Granted, I got wolves and mates in that deal, but she led me to them.
"Whenever Alpha Big Claw can talk to her. Wolves can tell when you are lying; he will listen to her heart and see if she genuinely wasn't a part of the plan. He's just busy calling Witches or even a Sorceress to put a ward on the territory." I hummed in agreement, still not liking the situation. Sneaking away was not going to be an option. My mates were so far up my butt I'm surprised they couldn't see my tonsils.
We made it to the yurt; it was spotless of any remnants of birthing a baby. A large table sat in the middle, and the cliché crystal ball stood on a platform. I giggled, looking at it. I am waiting for a madam with jingling bells and wailing that she will give me my good fortune if I give her a bit of coin.
Tua didn't do that; she sat with her regular clothes on; the light in the yurt was but a few candles. Just enough light to light the table while I sat between my mates. The incense grew more potent, smells of sage and eucalyptus filled the air. Her fingers danced on the ball as she hummed to herself. The boys were antsy in their seats, Dimitri sat on his hands, and Dax was biting a thumbnail.
Were they that nervous to talk to their parents? "Are you guys alright?" I whispered, trying not to disturb Tua. They both nodded and stared at the glass orb.
Tua’s fingers retreated from the ball and laid her hands flat on the table. Like you would see on a television, pictures came into view. It was a bedroom, dark, and the sheets were moving in the bed. A loud, "Fucking perfect," and growl left someone's lips.
"Oh, gods," Dax slapped their face. "When are they not doing it?" Dimitri blushed furiously and started yelling.
"Mom, dad, we are here at the mirror!"
"I swear," Dax cursed under his breath. "Can they move the mirror, so we don't see shit!?" I snorted; his parents were doing it. I wanted to laugh louder, but I bit my cheek. I was drawing blood, trying not to smile, and now I was sitting on my hands, trying not to move.
"Kane, stop!" there was a loud smack and a moan. "Not done," the guttural voice spoke. Dimitri covered my ears for a minute until finally, a woman came on the screen. She was a tiny thing, smaller than me. A sheet was wrapped around her breasts while a significant, looming figure sat with his bulging arms over his chest. Tattoos were everywhere. There wasn't a spot on him that wasn't covered besides his face and his right shoulder.
"It's my baby! Oh, and it's my big strong boy!" The woman shrilled over the Crystal.
"Hi, Mom," they both replied.
Chapter Thirty-One
Seraphina
Iwassqueezedinlike a sardine. As soon as I saw the burly man and the petite woman on the other side, Dax and Dimitri were shoulder to shoulder, and I was stuck behind their muscular backs. I shouldn't be bothered by this. However, the curiosity burned deep inside. I saw the strangest couple on the planet, or realm, whatever. Tattoos, piercings, menacing face, and a tiny little woman. Surely this wasn't their parents. The woman was so small that this beastly Wolf could easily be eaten.
"Hi, mom," Dimitri's small voice spoke. Dax was bolder, a bit gruff in his greeting.
"Guys, this is disgusting. You need to move that mirror. Our mate almost saw everything." A gasp left the woman's mouth.
"Kane, go get me some clothes! She is probably freaking out right now!" The man dubbed Kane only grumbled, unable to see his expression. I'm guessing he didn't want her dress. "You look fine; you are covered. I'm just going to rip it off later," he growled. Dear heavens. I see where Dax gets his brazen words.
"I was human once, no afternoon tea unless you go do what I asked," she scolded. Peaking over my mates' shoulders, she glared at the beast fiercely. I quietly prayed that he didn't get mad at her. Seeing him angry would be something else if he was content just now.
"I don't like tea," he smirked, rubbing his thumb across her lip.
"I'm talking about teeeeeea," she sang with an obvious wink and a jab with her elbow. "The good stuff." Kane was unaffected, keeping his brawny stature taught until his eyes widened. "Tea?" he mimicked her singing voice.
She nodded. "Tea."
Kane abruptly left his seat; he was not covering his lower region, which was bare for all to see. Something shined brightly on the tip of his, ahem, thing. "OH MY GOSH!" I squealed, covering my eyes. Never in my life had I seen such a sight! Okay, well, I take that back because my mates look like they had the same thing. Like, the exact same thing. Except for one thing, he had his 'thing' pierced. Who does that? Biting the inside of my cheek, I felt the blood drip onto my tongue. Dax laughed heartily while Kane rushed to find a shirt for his mom to wear.
"Seraphina!" Dimitri grabbed my face cheeks, scrunching my face together. My lips puckered. "You're bleeding!" Patting his arms to let him know I was alright, I turned to the crystal with his mom fully clothed along with Kane. Oh, thank gods. My poor damn eyes. I saw my future father-in-law naked.
"I saw his… 'thing'," putting my fingers in air quotes. "It was pierced!" I whispered again, trying to hide behind Dimitri. He rolled his eyes and pulled me to his chest. "Sorry, babe, dad is a bit of a barbarian with mom. You get used to it after a while."
His Mom giggled and patted Kane, who gave her a loving look while purring. It was so damn loud. Kane really cared about his mate; he was smiling and nuzzling into her neck. She adored it too. It was easier to look at them now that they were all clothed.
I can't wait to tell Zoey how I saw my mates' parents naked. She'll be laughing for days.
"This is our mom and dad, Clara and Kane, Queen and King of the Cerulean Moon Kingdom." Dax and Dimitri moved their shoulders, allowing me to see their parents more clearly. Clara smiled brightly while Kane nodded stiffly.
"It's so nice to meet you!" She cooed. "I hope they are treating you well!" I nodded frantically. They were good to me, too good to me, really.
"Oh yes, very much." Kane leaned closer to the crystal and looked around, sizing me up, I suppose.
