My mouth dropped.

"Come on, Marcus, let's give them some time." Pulling Marcus out the door, Melody had the decency to yell, "the next heatwave is going to be a big one; I suggest you get Dax to help you!" She sang before Melody and Marcus cackled down the hallway.

"I'm on it," I heard through the mind link. Dax must have listened the whole time since I didn't shut him out. I need to start doing that if I get alone time with Seraphina.

"Get out of the way!" I heard Dax's and Dominic’s voices roar through the tree lines. Looking out the window, Dax was stomping, running, hell, skipping? Through the central courtyard. Dad was just in shorts, yelling at some warriors to pick up the slack with the border patrol. Dax began to shift back into his human form, still running toward the packhouse steps. "I said get out of the way!" Wolves cowered, running away until mom started screaming.

"Dax Bartholemu!" Dax stopped, turned, and saw mom standing beside him, hands on her hips. She doesn't get mad often, but she's scarier than Dad when she does. That's because she can control dad, and he can beat our asses. Dad gets scared because he won't get any for 24 hours, and shit, he gets cranky with that.

Wolves stayed in their respective hiding spots, snickering at Dax's second name. "We don't' really have last names, do we, Kane?" Kane shook his head, his head almost bowed like the rest of the Wolves. "We need to do something about that because it isn't as frightening when we don't have a last name to call out." Mom crossed her arms.

"Wolves just don't," Kane muttered. "It's a human thing. Besides, everyone knows who we are." Mom turned to glare at dad, his hand covering his mouth.

Mom's hair flipped around, smacking Dax's chest. "You need to use your manners; what has you all in a huff?!" Her finger was waving, her little feet stomping the ground. "I did not raise you that way, now what are you doing?"

Dax, in his birthday suit, covered his privates. Mom hated seeing us naked. The only time she said she was allowed to see us naked was when we were babies. Now that we didn't look like babies, it made her cry.

"Seraphina is going through a small heat," Dax almost whispered. "Just trying to help."

"Oh," Mom's eyes softened. "Just be more polite and don't make such a ruckus. Now go make me a baby to hold." Dax nodded quickly, running off before mom could get another word in edge-wise.

Chapter Forty-Seven

Eva

Theyhadhadnoclue! I continued to laugh at myself, watching the magic unfold on the meadow. We were in heat, but Seraphina’s body and mine were too busy working separately on our changes to make us more compatible. Seraphina didn't understand that I could control her body right now while she was in a dream-like state.

I was utterly surprised by Dax. He was undoubtedly rough, and I enjoyed every minute. It was my first time using Seraphina's body, I wasn't completely able to control it as well as I liked, but that didn't matter; Dax had us weeping at his feet.

I had waited a long time for the perfect soul to pair with. Selene had told me I would be connected to a strong woman, that I wasn't to be born inside of a pack. I was to be put in a body that had never experienced pack life or was aware of Wolves. Thank my lucky stars, I was paired with two loving alphas. Dominic and Declan were perfect for Seraphina and me. We balanced each other so well.

We were all so sex-crazed, then again, what Wolf wasn't?

Hoping that Seraphina wouldn't be too sore with me, I wanted to feel their bodies. I couldn't wait to push through and have control, so I took it upon myself to maybe steal her body a little when she was enjoying her side of her dream. Once Dimitri lay in bed and Seraphina had her own fun in her dream world, I pounced on him. He didn't even see it coming, and he was so submissive! The way his eyes rolled back into his head, the heat of our touches blew me skyward when I released around his cock. He hung on my every word, every contact, every rotation I moved to give both him and me the ultimate pleasure. Reveling in it is what we did!

It was outstanding.

I had missed so much waiting around with a bunch of other mopy wolves. Watching one by one as they go to new bodies to be paired with. So many humans, so many unique combinations of species to be intermingled. It was both fun to watch and miserable if you weren't the next to be called. When I was called to be with Seraphina, I was elated! She was a kick-ass strong human Elf thingy! Warrior on her dad's side and then her mom, well, she was human. I'd take over that human side in a heartbeat, and we would be the ultimate fighting machine! A warrior Luna even! We could show the world we could take care of ourselves and our mates. Both in a fight and in the sheets.

Sheets were optional.

I panted, feeling the heat of Seraphina's body coming to a boiling point. So close, I would be able to emerge from her body to take care of this minor issue. For being a strong woman, she had undoubtedly dealt with a lot inside her body. Cysts had covered her uterus and ovaries. Our body was being kicked into overdrive, trying to heal our human selves. No more cysts, no sir. She would get the children she wanted eventually.

Mumbling rattled my ears; my eyes were still closed as I had not been able to break through Seraphina's sleep. Dax and Dimitri's touches were on my wrists, which made me shudder while I tried to wake. My voice moaned, lulling my head back and forth, waking the sleep from Seraphina's eyes. Hoping to meet my mates, mates that will sate the overwhelming heat coming from my core. It had me prancing around the forest like a madwoman. One more time before Seraphina would wake, one more time with a romp in the sheets by myself.

Yesss.

I smiled, pushing my breasts outward, arching my back, hoping someone would put their hands on me, maybe a mouth. Dark chuckles filled the room; frowning, I blinked my lashes only to see two dark eyes staring back at me. No electric blue eyes from either Dimitri or Dax.

Oh, shit.

"Did you sleep well?" Dominic’s claw trailed my jaw. It gently scratched the side of my neck, my breath heaving from the feather-like touches of the sharp claw.

Double shit.

"She looks well-rested," Declan's voice whispered into my ear. The heat of his breath trailed downwards to my breasts.

"Did you think you would get away with it, Eva?" The rumble in Dominic’s chest rattled like large stones rolling into a turbulent river. Trying to squeeze my legs together, I find my ankles are bound with black silk ties to the rod-iron bed, as well as my hands. Declan tisked, his claw creeping up my leg and into my inner thigh.
