Suron’s eyes flashed red, and his grip on Penelope tightened. He wasn’t sure what this feeling of over protectiveness was, but he certainly did not like the idea of Penelope mated to anyone.

Under the Moon
Dimitriabsentmindedlythrewseveralpapers to the floor as he leaned back into his chair. Interviews to appoint a Beta were lacking. None of them felt right, none of them held that outstanding aura his brother and he were looking for. Dimitri rubbed his face with both hands, unsure of what to do. There were two Alpha’s of the pack maybe the Moon Goddess thought it would be best to have two Alphas and no Beta.
No, that couldn’t be it, they both felt like they needed someone else. Until that time came, they would leave the position open, no matter how many Wolves they rejected. Their friends had all found mates, and even the closest of Wolves they had as friends didn’t feel right either.
Dax strolled into the office, opposite of Dimitri to his desk. Dax’s desk was clear of any paperwork, just stress balls and pictures of him and Seraphina decorated the deep colored wood. His sweaty body hit the leather chair, making him cringe at the sticky feel.
“Still no luck?” Dax mused, throwing the stress ball up in the air while putting his feet atop the desk. Dimitri groaned, pulled out his laptop and began clearing out emails. It was great that Bergarian had stepped up in certain aspects of technology, even if other Shifters preferred the technology free life. Wolves had a duty to protect all, and this was the best way to keep in touch with outlying Wolf packs of earth.
Dimitri tapped on the mouse a few more times while Dax continued to drip sweat from his work out. Dimitri becoming irritated, slapped the mouse with his finger a too hard causing it to break.
“Well FUCK!” he yelled throwing the mouse. The broken piece of technology hit the nearby shelf, with a small backpack causing it to fall.
“The hell is your problem?” Dax scoffed, getting up from his chair. The leather stuck to him, causing a suction sound. Bending over to pick up Dimitri’s mess he found a small navy, velvet box. Dax’s interest peaked and opened the funny box and stared at a gorgeous ring sitting in the middle. It was a diamond, beautiful and radiant.
“The fuck is this for?” Dax stood up, walking to Dimitri. Dimitri, whose head was buried in his hands, leaning over the desk turned to the box thrown on the table. Grabbing it, he scoffed a laugh and stood up.
“No way,” he chuckled. “I bought this for Seraphina, when we first ‘dating’ her.” Dax pulled the box back out of his hand. “And what, you were going to propose to her like humans do? And without me?” A look of hurt surrounded his tough features, but Dimitri only grabbed his shoulders.
“Of course not! It was for the both of us, I was going to have us propose to her, just like they do in those human movies. She grew up like a human, so don’t you think she always had that dream of being proposed to, having a wedding?”
Dax thoughtfully put his fingers to his chin, rubbing the scratchy beard he was growing. “You’re right. We should do something now and guess what?” Dimitri raised a brow.
“It’s February 14th in the human world.” Dimitri’s eyes brightened instantly.
“Dude, no way. This will be the cheesiest proposal to date,” he laughed loudly only to hear the door creek open. Hiding the box in his pocket, a fire red head poked her head in the door.
Swollen with their first child, Seraphina absent mindedly rubbed her large belly. “You couldn’t hear me pounding up the stairs? Usually, you meet me halfway? She puffed out an exhausted breath, sitting in the nearest decorative chair. Seraphina was due any day, and her mates made sure she was well taken care of. Even if that meant listening to her pounding up the stairs and grabbing her before another swollen foot hit the steps. Unfortunately their excitement got the best of them.
“I’m so sorry, my love,” Dax got on his knees, rubbing his head to her swollen belly. “We were discussing pack matters and got carried away.” Dimitri knelt on the other side, kissing her hand.
“And we are sorry, but our afternoon out will have to be postponed until this evening. Some things have come up.” Dax and Dimitri continued to mind-link each other, making sure their stories were straight. What they really had planned on doing was making the perfect setting for their proposal and shortly after a wedding that would make any human jealous.
“Oh,” Seraphina sighed. Her lip pouted, something she didn’t normally do until this pregnancy came into play, she milked every bit of the attention she got. She knew once the baby came she would have to share her mates and time with a little baby.
“Don’t be sad, babe, we will make up for it, we promise,” Dimitri winked at her. Seraphina knew that wink. Pregnancy had made her extra horny and they had been at it like Wolves in heat since the morning sickness had gone away. Seraphina nodded her head, still disappointed that the rest of the day was now unplanned.
“We do have a little surprise,” Dax spoke, rubbing her cheek. “Your mother, ours and our sisters wanted to have a spa day. Would you like to do that?” Seraphina’s face lit up like the second light source. She had gained two wonderful sisters that treated her like blood. They both were funny, had their quirks and could talk freely with them about any mate disagreements or trouble.
Not to mention, having her mates’ mother there was a special treat. The aura she expelled didn’t just calm any ferocious beast, but her anxiousness for the baby to come. “I’d love that,” she mused as she gazed into their eyes.
Seraphina was sent to the Cerulean Moon Kingdom castle, having her spa day in the royal suits. Her hair was to be curled and pressed, her hair, makeup, and nails all done. Not to mention spending her time with her mother and her favorite people. It was the perfect setup for Dimitri and Dax to gather everything they needed.
They worked tirelessly, informing the pack that their Luna was to be surprised this evening with a human custom. Many had not heard of engagements or weddings, so this was a cultural experience they were really to help with.
Tables and chairs were gathered, flowers brought in from several neighboring Faes that had taken up a colony near the Crimson Shadows Pack. Food compiled into a massive feast that would make their own ceremony a few months ago look like garbage. Live music, bands, and the sort had already gathered, and the Wolves all became anxious.
“What if she says ‘no’?” a little pup asked questioningly as his mother hung up another streamer. The two Alphas hadn’t thought of that, she could say no. Could she say no? They were baring her pup, she was the Luna. What if it was all just a game? The mother gave glaring eyes at the pup, unable to comprehend such a thing.
“Are you serious? Haven’t you watched those movies with me? She will say yes, of course, she will!” The Alpha’s visibly relaxed.
“Not unless they had done something warranting her not to say yes,” she trailed off. The Alpha’s gripped their chests again, worrying if they had done something wrong recently.
