“They have,” Tua whispered. “However, Cyrene will wake us soon. I feel her life force awakening and the goddess has blessed her with a Wolf as well.”

“Holy, shit,” Cyrene’s guards spoke aloud.

“She’s going to be powerful,” Melody grinned. “There are very few Witch Wolf hybrids and they are nowhere near as powerful as Cyrene. This will give us an advantage. What about Soren?” Tua shook her head.

“I can feel his Wolf, but Soren is still asleep. I’m sorry. I wish I could help more.” Mia smiled.

“You have done enough, Luna. Now let’s get you and the rest of the ones not fighting prepared.”

I got up from my seat, moving to be near my mate. She had both of us by her side. No one in the room even questioned about sending her to the Kitsune to save everyone’s lives. We lose one Wolf, we lose them all.

“Sadie and I will travel to the Black Raven Coven, so we can take care of the blood transport,” dad growled.

“No,” I stepped forward. “You are needed here, and you know it. We will go. We will take Seraphina with us. The Kitsune won’t expect us to just leave the pack. We will be back in twelve hours’ time, ready for the fight. Dad weighed his options. Dad knew he didn’t have the patience to deal with a bunch of Vampires. He still had a sore spot since the Dark War.

“Fine,” the room let out a breath. “You leave now. Take the truck and we will have Wolves escort you out. Have Seraphina’s smell cloaked by one of the Warlocks.”

Dad set mom on the table. She watched her mate come to her only two sons. “Be safe.” He hugged us both. The room looked on with bewilderment. They have not seen their king so openly affectionate. Dad liked to hide his affection to closed doors. When he came to Seraphina, she stared back at him with wide eyes. “Keep them safe, be smart. Your parents are going to be safe.” Seraphina let out a tiny sob. Dad pulled her into a hug and held her there longer than he had ever hugged one of us.

“IF she gets a scratch, I’ll kick both of your asses,” he pointed his claw at us.

And he’s back.

Chapter Fifty-Nine

Mysons, alongwiththeir mate, had driven off. The Wolves escorting them to the border were pleased with the transaction. No peculiar smells, no signs of any wildlife were around the area when they crossed over, but it made Torin grunt in suspicion.

Melody, my second daughter, is wise, just like her mother. Her passion for knowledge, and learning about the Bergarian history, had changed many thoughts for the entire realm. Books that had been locked away for centuries at the bottom of the castle were re-opened by demand for her to look over. Sacred texts dating back thousands of years were left in the cellars by one of Clara’s ancestors who was said to be possessed by Hades himself.

We found this not to be true. He was just a royal dick.

They released the texts after Melody had found references in the current library of the castle with history books, starting when King Elijah and Queen Eden, Clara’s parents, had taken control of the kingdom. They had thought the books were burned or discarded. However, Melody, being the ever curious one, discovered one line in a textbook that led to thousands of old scripts.

Now, the kingdom relies on her for too much, even though she is the Alpha of the Crimson Shadows. She doesn’t want it; she wants to be an advisor to other nations and she will have that dream once we deal with this Kitsune.

What very little information we can find on the Kitsune was disturbing. Our current texts say they should have been extinct, but now we find one here on Earth. The Kitsune is an intriguing shifter that no one had dealt with in many generations. We are dealing with a shifter with magical abilities. Dragons were to have been said to be the only ones with the added ability.

Melody mentioned that the Moon Goddess had cursed all Kitsunes for their devious ways and refused to grant them a mate, so they had to find their own, granting them being particular in their selection. Once they have a mate, however, and have received all nine tails, their power would exceed any powerful Sorcerer.

After my warriors returned, I had them take down the temporary housing of large logs that were only protection from a surprise attack and had them put it around the pack house. We do not have the liberty to bring more Witches in at such a short amount of time for a stronger ward, so our defense was going to be primitive.

Clara, my beautiful mate, is gathering all the children into the main courtyard in front of the pack house. Bear cubs and Wolf pups laughed and giggled as she counted them, one by one, writing their names, their parent’s names, and ages. I asked both parents of each child to stay to fight and they all agreed quickly to serve in the small army. Tua would travel with the children through the portal to keep them safe while the fight was here.

“Is that everybody!?” Clara yelled out. Children were giggling, pushing each other. The pups and cubs did not care what species they were, just like most children. There were no rivalries between them, just that they had a friend to play with. Earth was not as friendly to other species as Bergarian was. They had not caught up to our new ways.

“I think so,” Tua spoke, while feeding her baby. The thing didn’t even have a name. Everyone kept calling the child ‘baby.’ Just name the damn child already. Is it that hard? I cleared my throat.

“Are you ready, Luna Tua?” Tua crossed her arm and did a shallow bow. “Yes, Your Majesty, Sorceress Cyrene is on her way now.” I grunted, going over to Clara to bury my nose in her hair.

“Well, hello to you too, handsome,” Clara purred. “What’s wrong with my big bad Wolf?” Clara’s fingers intertwined with the strands of my hair. “Is it the boys?” she whispered.

“I’m worried,” I mind-linked. “It was too easy for them to leave the borders. They could find not one animal for a two-mile radius as they traveled through the border.” She hummed in my ear.

“They will be fine. You raised two sturdy sons, and we have gained an equally strong daughter-in-law. Both in her physical form and in her mind. She fits perfectly in our family, don’t you think?”

“More so than Marcus,” I growled outwardly. When I found out my best friend, my Beta, was mated to my daughter, Melody, our relationship became strained. Knowing he takes her to bed after he had his many ways with other she-Wolves when I told him to stop, grew my fury. There were nights Clara couldn’t even sate Torin. He would have to run through the woods, ripping down trees, roaring into the night. Their entire courtship was a long one and my dear mate had to endure the brunt of it. She had to deal with my cock for hours on end.
