My second chance mate was Cyrene, the Sorceress who has frequent conversations with Hades himself, in touch with the gods, and the new Goddess Ember that helps Selene with pairings of souls.

This woman was nothing like the history books had described. The small scar in her eyebrow from the Dark War stood firm, but the rest of her body was flawless. The shawls covering her body didn't hide her hourglass shape and the ample plump of her breasts. She was more beautiful than any supernatural and her delicate hands finer than any marbled statue. Slight tremors fell into her fingertips as a step forward was taken towards me. She didn't look her age at all.

Sorceress Cyrene was too perfect for a Wolf-like me. Liz had already proven that. Cyrene would reject me for sure. I had nothing to offer her; I was not the strongest of the pack, I held no material worth, and by gods, I wasn't the most handsome man. The only thing I had going for me was my patience, my purity that I waited for my mate. Would that be enough? Would it be a turn-off for her? That I had no idea what I was really doing to give her the pleasure she just deserves?

Gods, my mate was a cougar; my dick sprung in surprise. She was an older woman who didn't look any older than me, but had life experience. And gods, it was the hottest thing.

Just then, Seraphina's fiery red hair flew past me, breaking me of my eye contact. Cyrene shook her head, her feet still stepping forward, closer to Alpha Big Claw.

"And who might you be?" Alpha Big Claw spoke in his Alpha voice. Cyrene smiled, pulling out her hand for him to greet her. Before a word edgewise could be brought from her lips, I stood in front of my Alpha.

"Alpha, this is Sorceress Cyrene," one knee went to the ground, my arm over my chest, my face looked downward. Only breathing could be heard until Cyrene got on both of her knees in the dirt of all places. Taking both of her hands onto my face, she touched my slightly stubbled cheeks. Fire-like touches dashed across my skin, her nails stroked my chin. How did this woman know how I liked to be touched?

"My sweet mate, why do you kneel before me?" My eyes glanced at hers. Her voice feathery voice lifted my soul.

"Because I am not worthy of someone so beautiful, so powerful, so gracious if you wish to reject me, I would never hold it against you." My heart clutched tightly; I didn't want her to reject me, but damn, I had nothing to give her.

"As long as you give me your heart, I would never ask for anything more." Cyrene's smile widened, my hands grabbed either side of her face as I kissed her lips. With the warmth of her lips, her body pressed against mine, we didn't bother to stand up from the cold ground. The heat of our bodies lay down in the leaves while our hands roamed each other's bodies.

People better fucking leave because I would mark her right here.

"Uh, oh," Alpha Big Claw muttered, but I was too busy to recognize the situation. Liz had been released and was now screaming obscenities at other Wolves, telling them to get us off the ground. Many laughed, pushing her away; her cries were but a distant memory while we heard loud thumps hitting the ground.

Seraphina

"What I miss?" My body was dripping from the creek water, my hands on my hips as I heaved over the now wet ground.

"By gods, why are you wet?" Dimitri ran to me, pulling off his shirt and shoving it over my body. I gripped hold of him, holding him tight. "Just having a mental breakdown, you know, nothing major. But I missed a lot!" My hand waved to the couple rolling in the leaves, getting closer and closer to the fire. "Who are they?"

Dax walked up, still in his half-wolf form, growling. "Sorceress Cyrene and Soren," I yelled in happiness, jumping up and down, hugging Dimitri, and quickly going to Dax to give him his little scritches under his maw. "This is great! Who is Cyrene, though?" My smile tugged on either side of my cheeks, surely going to be sore tomorrow as I watched them both go at it, groping each other while the same Wolves from the other day that stared at Dimitri, Dax and I, got hotdogs and popcorn out.

"That," Dimitri started to wave his finger around, "is Sorceress Cyrene. Strongest Sorceress in the Earth Realm. She can talk to several gods and has a great ward and binding spell to keep our borders in check until we figure out what we will do next. We will have to solve some more issues while fighting against some of these rogues. The weaponry is getting to be more advanced than we anticipated." I nodded.

"Yeah, well, your sister Melody, who is very blunt but also nice, by the way, said it was due to a Kitsune. More specifically, a Nogitsune." Dax rolled his eyes.

"I don't know what that is; I guess we will be briefed after we get these two to their own room," Dax looked at the couple rolling on the ground, Lonato's shirt was off, pants halfway down his butt, and the cloak was ripped entirely off the Sorceress. Her hair was a knotted mess of leaves and dirt.

"I'm not touching that," I put my hands up. "That is for someone else to deal with." Tua pranced up, shoved a content baby into Alpha Big Claw's arms, and pulled me with her.

"Oh yes, it is! It's an unspoken rule with Lunas. You help separate mates so they can be put in a proper room. You grab Soren since you know him so much." I groaned, gone to pull him by his ankles and pulled his body away. The Wolves with popcorn in their hands started whining, throwing their food towards us like we spoiled the fun for the day.

Chapter Fifty-Four

Cyrene

BythemightyHades,I had found him.

Here he was, kneeling on the ground of my feet, trying to defy his Alpha. A weakling of an Alpha no less, one wave of my hand and his face would have been in the mud or, better yet, the feces of some crying pup.

His tousled hair was a mess, the top part of his body free from any clothing, giving me the perfect view of what Selene or Ember themselves have given me. A Werewolf, fitting since the only supernatural I can barely tolerate are the Wolves.

My fingers ached to run through his hair, to feel the muscles of his back as he grips me from behind, thrusting his glorious manhood inside me. My thighs clenched, thinking of what dirty things I could do to him.

He was a young one, I'll give him that. Better yet, I can feel his innocence. He had waited for his mate, something I wish I had done long ago, but now thinking about it, I will have the most fun taming this little beast.

My nails scratched across the scruff of his chin; his Wolf purred inside him, which delighted me to the fullest. Would he care that I was six hundred something years old? Would it be terrible to tell him I don't even remember my own birthday? Indeed, it wouldn't, not the way his knees are sagging in the dirt, his body becoming dirty as the worms that crawl through it.

"Your name?" I whispered across his lips. His breath was peppermint, a smell that I had often worn across my wrists and neck. It calmed yet excited me as I did my most potent spells; now that I have my mate, he will be the one to give me the extra power that I needed. He was my peppermint, my heart, the spice of my life. "Soren," his chapped lips tickled my moist ones.
