Page 30 of Deviant Bastards

The guys all trail off in different directions, and I don’t hear the footsteps behind me. It’s not until I try to close my door that I even realise that I’ve been followed. “I don’t want to fight about this, Kendric. I still need to go and meet her.” Ric kicks the door closed behind him, and then he grabs hold of my arms, yanking me towards him. The force has a grunt coming out of me. My eyes snap up to meet his, and I find that his eyes are swirling with a mix of emotions. He spins me around so that my back is now against the closed door.

“What the fuck?” I ask. It’s meant to come out strong and confident, but even to my own ears, my voice sounds small. I stand a little taller, hoping to throw him off a little and to portray the illusion that I’m more confident than I feel right now.Kendric full on grins this time, just as he brings his arms up on either side of my head, caging me in between his body and the door. He brushes some of the hair away from my face, then he runs his nose up the column of my neck, inhaling deeply as he does.

His lips slam down on mine with no warning, and I feel the fight leave my body as his tongue dances with mine while both of us fight for control of this kiss. He brings one of his hands down, grabbing ahold of both of mine, securing my arms up and over my head, holding them firmly in his hand. Whether it's to prevent me from hitting him or pulling away, I don’t know, but I surrender to his demands. I don’t try to pull away, instead, I melt against him.

The effect my submission has on Ric is instant. His hands slide under my T-shirt and ‘round to the small of my back. He lets out the sexiest growl that I’ve ever heard. My tongue invades his mouth, eager to taste all of him, as he pulls me closer. I feel just how excited this kiss is making him. His rock-hard length is pushing against my stomach, and it sends heat pooling in my pussy.Another growl from him has me coming out of my trance.

“We should stop,” I say as I pull away from him slightly, completely breathless and needing a minute. “I need to get ready to go and meet Kayla. And so do you,” I say as he reluctantly lets go of my hands, which are still trapped above my head.

“We are far from being done, Brat. Wewillcontinue this later,” he demands as he pulls me in for another kiss that leaves me needy and wanting.Fuck these guys and the effect that they have on my damn body. I move away from the door as Ric lets himself out. “We won’t be far from you, but you won’t be able to see us, either.” He closes the door softly behind him as he goes. I peel off my leggings in favour of a pair of jeans and add a black pair of knee high boots. I leave my v-neck top on and throw a leather jacket over it.

I walk back down the stairs and find the guys already waiting for me. “Take my car,” Barker says as he throws me a set of keys, and they lead me towards the garage. Pressing the button on the key fob, a black SUV lights up. “Bullet-proof windows and the doors lock automatically when the engine starts, follow the driveway down to the end of the road, and then turn right. If you keep following the road straight, then you will hit town. The café is on the left hand side of the road just after the hardware store,” he informs me. They each take turns hugging me and placing kisses on my forehead or cheek.

“We’ll see you soon,” Gryffin says as he follows the guys towards a huge range rover. I get into the SUV and start it up. As I peel out of the garage, I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I just hope that my instincts are wrong.

Within forty minutes, I’m pulling up outside the café. I spot Kayla’s cherry red corvette that her brothers imported for her parked outside. As soon as I enter the café, she rushes me.

“Holy shit. Where the fuck have you been, and how the hell did you get away?” she whisper yells at me as we take our seats in a booth at the back of the café.

I notice the range rover driving past, and it turns the corner. The guys will be here any minute now. Although, according to them, I won’t be able to see them.

“Just listen okay, everything isn’t as it seems. Yes, I was kidnapped, but the people who took me have come to realise that what they thought was completely wrong.” The guys have never seen me as a threat, just a tool to barter with. But, As of late, I see all of that changing between us.

“Who the fuck had you, girl? You know that your dad and Deacon are going out of their minds worried about you, right?” Kayla says as the waitress approaches us. Kayla orders a coffee, and I ask for a hot chocolate and a muffin.

Once the waitress leaves, I fill Kayla in, but only a little. I don’t tell her about the men who tried to take me the second time. I only tell her that I’ve been with Ric and his guys.

“So, the tattooed hottie from the club, is one of his?”

“I sure am, sweetcheeks,” Dayton drawls as he approaches us. “Have you asked her yet, Spitfire?” I turn and glare at him. This wasn’t part of the plan. What if my father has men watching?Fucking idiots.

I explain to Kayla that I need her help to get Ellie away from my father, and my bestie vehemently shakes her head.

“I can’t. Your father has moved her out of the mansion, and no one except those closest to him know where she is now.”

What the fuck? This plan isn’t going to work.

DAYTON

I watch as Harley’s face falls at her friend’s words, unshed tears shining bright in her eyes. I sit down beside her and pull her closer to me. “We will find her, Spitfire,” I whisper in her ear as her friend drones on and on about how sorry she is. The girl reaches out to touch Harley, but she pulls her hand away at the last minute as Harley moves her own hands into mine.

“You need to get her out of there Gadge, now! Her father’s men are in the grey car that’s just pulled up,” Ric’s voice rings in my ear.

“Spitfire, we have to go. Like now,” I say as I stand, lifting her up with me. She glares at her friend.

“You told him that you were meeting me, didn’t you?!” she yells at Kayla, who sits nodding her head, repeating the same words over and over. “I’m sorry,” Kayla whispers as Harley, and I run to the front of the café.

“Is there another way out of here, Rita?” I ask the waitress. She’s been serving us for years. She nods, telling us to go through the kitchen and out the service door. As soon as we are outside, Gryffin is there waiting with the Range Rover. I throw open the back door, and Harley crawls in with me, jumping in behind her, just as gunshots sound all around us. Gryffin hits the gas and peels away from the café.

Harley is sobbing in my arms as we bounce down the road. The car skids slightly as Gryffin takes a corner too fast. “Careful,” I yell at him.

“Why would she do this to me? Why would she tell my father what was going on?” None of this makes sense, but it seems as if Kayla has double crossed Harley, and we need to find out why. “I’ve known her my whole life. She was my best friend. The one person that I could count on, tell anything to, and yet, she goes and does something like this? It makes no fucking sense.”

I notice Barker’s SUV trailing behind us. Looking beyond that, I don’t see any other cars, which means one of two things; either we lost the tail or the guys who found us are all dead. Personally, I’m hoping for the latter.
