“Don’t worry about me. This was about you.”
We finish showering, and Ric gets out first. He hands me a towel as he wraps one around himself, and I can’t help but watch the droplets of water running over his body. I want to trace them all with my tongue. “Stop looking at me like that, and get into the bed,” he chuckles at me.
I don’t argue, just do as I’m told because, in all honesty, I’m fucking exhausted. I climb under the duvet, and Kendric places a kiss on my forehead. “Sleep,” he says as he walks out of the room. I don’t even hear the door closing because as soon as my head hits the pillow, I’m out like a light.

HARLEY
Iwake slowly, startling when I realise that I’m in an unfamiliar surrounding. The last thing that I remember was Dayton blowing up the house. I sit up in the bed and realise immediately that I’m in an unfamiliar room. I frantically look around me, and my eyes clash with Kendric’s.
“Where are we?” I ask him as I sit up a little more in the bed.
“My father’s estate,” he grunts in response. It makes no sense to bring me here. It’s too easy for my dad and his men to find us.
“Why are we here?” I question him.
“Because it’s the only safe place that we have left,” he says matter of factly.
I don’t know what makes him think that being here is safe, but I’m slowly starting to trust these guys, which is weird because I never really trust anyone. At least not anyone outside of my father’s crew, and even then, I don’t trust some of those fuckers either.
I look around the new room I’ve woken up in. It’s decorated in an off-white with a marble effect wallpaper on the back wall. The bed I’m currently lying in is huge. It’s a California king, which looks like it can hold three to five people. My mind begins to wander, imagining all the fun things that could be done in a bed like this, and my cheeks begin to heat as I unconsciously rub my legs together to relieve the ache between them.
“There’s a bathroom through there,” Ric says as he points to a door directly opposite the bed. “Why don’t you take a shower and then come meet us downstairs for breakfast?” He doesn’t wait for me to respond, he just walks out the door, closing it softly behind him.
I peel back the luxurious duvet, padding my way into the bathroom. “Holy shit,” I screech when I enter the space. This bathroom is my dream room; it has a huge walk-in shower on the left side while a claw foot bath sits in the center of the room, and his and her sinks adorn the right wall. I always wanted a bathroom like this.
As much as the bath calls to me, I decide to take a quick shower to wash away all the grime that still coats my skin. Stepping under the hot spray, I can’t help but let some tears fall because, for a hot second, I almost forgot why I need to get away from these men. My heart is torn. They really wormed their way in, and I don’t want to leave them, but the alternative is unfathomable. The only thing keeping me going strong is the fact that while I’m separated from my baby girl, all the attention is on me, meaning she’s safer. Plus, I know we will be reunited as soon as this is over. It’s just a waiting game. Or at least, that’s what I keep telling myself. How do I know she is safe if I can’t see her with my own two eyes? Maybe I should just run away, taking her with me and start a new life somewhere else. I switch off the water and wrap myself in a fluffy towel before making my way back into the bedroom.
There’s a wardrobe on the left side of the bed, so I rummage around until I find a top and some jeans. I pull on my bra and fix my girls before going to look for a pair of panties. Of course, these guys have thought of everything because the top drawer in the unit is filled with underwear. Once I’m dressed, I quickly braid my still damp hair and throw my trainers back on.
I need to make a plan to get out of here. I take a moment to stare out the window and instantly deflate. There is a wide, long driveway, and at the end of it, a set of metal gates along with a guard station.
“I can hear your mind working from here, Pixie,” Gryffin’s gravelly tone fills the room. I spin around to face him.Shit!I wasn’t aware of my surroundings. Oh, if Deacon could see me now, he would probably be laughing his arse off at how easy it is for these guys to sneak up on me.
“I have to get out of here, Gryffin. I have to make sure that my baby girl is okay, you get that, right?” He nods his head at me, and I sigh in relief.
“As much as I understand it, we can’t let you go, Pixie. Now, it’s not because you’re leverage to us, that changed a long time ago. It’s because it’s not safe for you out there. People are after you, and no offense but your father’s security is shit. If we could get to you, so could others. We told you that we would never let you get hurt again, this is us keeping that promise. Plus, we just can’t bear to be without you.”
His words weigh heavy on my mind as he steps towards me. He envelopes me in his arms, leaning towards me until his mouth is just inches from mine.He hovers there for a moment as if he is trying to figure out what the right thing to do is. So, I close the gap between us. As soon as my lips meet his, he snaps out of his haze and kisses me back. It’s demanding, hot, and filled with passion. His tongue caresses mine, and within seconds, we are duelling for control. He guides me back until my thighs hit the edge of the bed. He spins us around as his large hands take hold of my waist, lifting me up and settling me onto his lap. It all happens so fast it causes me to gasp against his mouth.
My nipples pebble underneath my top while my pussy clenches with want and need. Our make-out session turns heavy, and I slide my hands under his shirt, ready to remove the unwanted barrier. Gryffin groans, “We should stop.” He pulls away slightly, and I can’t help the disappointment that flashes over my face. I go to move away from him, but Gryffin tightens his hold on me, saying, “I need to feed you.”
My stomach chooses that moment to intervene and prove his point by grumbling loudly. Gryffin just chuckles at me, saying, “We will continue this later, Pixie.”
I follow him out of the room, and as we walk along the hallway, I notice several other closed doors before mine.
“Kendric is next door to you, then me. Barker has the one next to mine, and this door is Dayton’s,” he says as he stops outside of the last room on this floor.Huh, I wonder why they put me at the way at end?“That’s because anyone who wants to get to you has to go through us first, Pixie,” he says.Oh, shit. I said that out loud, again!
I groan at my own stupidity, but Gryffin wraps an arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer to him. We walk down a winding staircase and take a left at the bottom. That’s when I can hear the faint sound of the rest of the guys.
The smell of bacon and eggs reaches my nose, making my tummy rumble again,
“Damn, Little Brawler,” Barker teases as we enter the kitchen, making my cheeks flush. “Ric, feed the little demon before she eats us all instead,” he chuckles.
The kitchen is as big as my room upstairs. There’s a double hob and oven on the left side. A huge breakfast bar takes up the centre of the room, and there’s a massive American-style fridge/freezer on the right side.
“I hope you’re hungry, Spitfire,” Dayton says as he places a plate in front of me. It’s loaded with bacon, scrambled eggs, and beans. I start eating but close my eyes and moan around the first forkful of delicious food. I hear groans from the guys beside me. “What?” I ask innocently, popping my eyes open. I watch as both Barker and Dayton adjust themselves.
