“Life isn’t fair, Gamble. Stop trying to hold me at arm’s length. It won't work now. Not when we’re bonded.”
Spooky’s words hit home, and Gamble knew he was right.
“Everything,” Gamble whispered.
Spooky slowed down slightly. “What?”
Gamble ground his teeth. “All of it, Spooky, every single part of this is terrifying.”
Spooky’s eyes widened, but Gamble kept on because if he didn’t get it out, he’d just lock it away once more.
“Having to share my life and magic with you drives me insane. I have been rejected more times than I can count. I am an outcast from my own bloodline. No familiar would so much as look at me. I’ve been hated by everyone around me. Honestly, it’s only a matter of time before you see it and hate me too.”
Spooky’s eyes softened, and Gamble’s chest tightened. He expected the familiar to get off his cock and give him pity. But he didn’t.
“Why?”
Gamble stiffened but if anyone deserved to know the truth about him it was Spooky. He licked his lips nervously. Was he really going to tell someone after years of keeping it hidden?
Spooky’s big brown eyes bore into him and Gamble found his mouth moving and words coming out before he could second guess it.
“I’m a half demon.”
Demons were one of the few supernatural beings that were kept on the hush. No humans knew actual demon kind walked amongst them. Incubi and Succubi, they had a place in society, a way to explain their existence. They were only lesser demons and maybe that was why they so easily fit in with humans when they wanted to. If people knew thatactualdemons existed, there would no doubt be wars until one side no longer existed.
And on top of all that, no supernatural being wanted to be associated with them.
“Going to reject me now that you know the truth?”
“You fucking idiot,” Spooky hissed out. He lifted his hips and slammed down. “I didn’t reject you. I had a feeling you were different.” He scraped his nails down Gamble’s impressive chest. “It’s not like I don’t have my own secrets. My witch wanted something more exotic, more dangerous than a cat. We both have suffered for shit outside of our control.”
Gamble groaned as the tight heat around his cock made it impossible for him to respond.
“Shit, I’ve been waiting for you to come to me.” He shook his head. “My mistake. I now know I should have just taken what I wanted.”
Gamble bit his lip as shock waves of pleasure danced throughout his body, but nothing could break his focus on the words that came out of Spooky’s mouth.
“I’m your familiar, and you’re my witch. We are in this fucked up thing called life together. What you lack, I’ll make up for and vice versa.”
Could it be true?It wasn’t as if Spooky was letting Gamble fight it; the familiar was literally fucking the point home.
Spooky tossed his head back, and Gamble was transfixed as their flesh collided and pleasure overwhelmed them both. The bond thrummed between them, heightening the ecstasy coursing through his veins. It was a high like no other.
Gamble tightened his hold on Spooky’s hips as he met him thrust for thrust. It felt too good; if they were to stop now, Gamble might die.
“More,” Gamble said. Air sawed in and out of his lungs as his heart beat erratically.
The moans spilling from Spooky’s lips were like a symphony that the opera could never compare to. Magic sparked between them, and Gamble let it trickle through them, intertwined with their bond.
“Gamble,” Spooky cried out. His nails sharpened and carved angry red lines down Gamble’s chest. A few beads of blood appeared, but Gamble didn’t care; he wanted Spooky to mark him up. It felt primal, as if he, too, couldn’t get enough.
Gamble pushed himself up and brought Spooky’s chest to his as he claimed the familiar’s mouth in a kiss. It had been the one thing Gamble had kept back, but no more. He couldn’t help himself. Not when it felt so right.
Spooky gasped, and Gamble took full advantage, tangling their tongues in a heated kiss. It felt as if Gamble was passing another barrier. He tightened his hold on Spooky as he continued to rock into him.
“You will never leave my side,” Gamble said against Spooky’s lips.
The familiar didn’t hesitate in his reply. “And you will never throw me away.”
