Melissa stared at him. “Us? Together? Like a proper couple?”
“What do you say?”
She smiled. It was instant, and she nodded. “I’d love to try that.”
“I don’t know if it will work. I’ve never been faithful before in my life.” You’ve been faithful for months, asshole.
“I’m not going to turn into one of these nagging women, Pea. I know what I signed up for.”
“Good, good, erm, you can’t see any more men.”
“We will both be faithful to each other during this. I get it. I can do that.” She took a deep breath. “Wow, we’re really going to do this.”
“We really are.”
He opened his arms, and she walked right into them. Closing his eyes, he kissed her head, and knew deep in his heart, he’d done the right thing. He could no longer stand the thought of her with another man.
They were going to give it a go.

“This is horrible,” Natasha said, wincing as she watched Liam take another hit. He was up against Egg of the Hell’s Wolves, and neither man was looking all that good.
“Road is about to get patched in tonight. All the brothers voted for him, and it’s why Egg is beating the shit out of him. It’s like an initiation.”
“That makes no sense.”
She hugged Saint’s jacket around her, trying to ward off the cold. It had been three months since she’d turned back up in Sinners’ Corner, and being with Saint, it was like she never left. She loved it. Working at Dirty Deeds, meeting Saint either at home or at the club, it was a dream come true.
Many nights when she had lain awake while she was living with Simon, she would think about this kind of life. It made her wonder if she’d been waiting to come back home.
Life was wonderful, and she snuggled against Saint’s side, knowing there was nowhere else she’d rather be. She loved him with all of her heart. For her, loving her sweetheart wasn’t just going to be temporary. He had stolen her heart at a young age, and he never gave it back.
She cried out as Liam took another hit to his side, and then suddenly came out fighting. Egg went down, and held his hand up in surrender.
“Are they okay?” she asked.
“It’s a fight, baby. They’re both probably horny as hell.”
“I don’t see the attraction.”
“Not everyone does. Come on, let’s go and congratulate the newest member.”
Saint released her as he entered the fighting circle. She’d never been part of a club getting patched in.
“I’m so sorry, man,” Liam said.
“You did good. Quiet down,” Saint said. “I think this is only fitting to a man who has earned his patch, and his place with the Saints and Sinners MC.” He shouted the last words ending it on a whoop. She smiled, loving the way they all were together, banded together as a brotherhood of MC.
Rage came through the crowd, holding out the leather cut with the name “Road” printed on the back. “Always to remind you of your new name.”
Men and women rushed toward Liam as he put his new jacket on. This was his life now, the newest member of the club.
Saint was laughing as he came to join her.
“That was pretty awesome to watch. You changed his life.”
“He earned his patch. Took so many beatings over the past couple of years.”
