Them.“I don’t know,” I whisper, tasting tears on my lips. “I don’t fucking know!” I wish I wasn’t in this cluster fuck.

“Come on, let’s lie down.” He guides us down on the bed and spoons me from behind.

I stare at the raindrops on the window. It’s dark outside. I wish I could lie here with him, forever cocooned in this moment of peace. “Are you with Madeleine now?”

“Do you not want me to be?”

No, I don’t.“If she makes you happy…”

He snorts. “Are you going to see him tonight?”

I can’t lie to him. I wait a breath before nodding. “Yes…”

He sits up, placing his feet on the floor. “Then why the fuck are you here?! In my bed?”

“I needed to see you.”

“But then you’re going to fuck another guy?”

I keep silent as I look over to the window again, watching the droplets of rainwater on the glass.

“You know what? I think I’m going to invite Maddie tonight!”

I stiffen. I can just make out the apple tree moving in the wind outside. “It’s probably for the best.”

Why am I saying this shit? Even the thought makes my heart hurt.

“You came here to tell me that you needed to see me, and you can’t stop thinking about me, but it’s for the best if I fuck Maddie?”

I meet his stormy gaze. “We can’t be together, Rick. You know that.”

“The fuck I do!”

I’m on my back before I can register what’s happening. His weight is pushing me down on the mattress. “You’re the most confusing woman I’ve ever fucking met!” he says frustratedly, grinding his hard cock against my thigh.

“You don’t want me, Rick.”

He puts his hand over my mouth. “Shut up! You don’t get to decide what I want and don’t want!”

As his hazel eyes flick between mine, my nostrils flare.

“Are you going to be a good girl for me?”

I nod, my clit throbbing at the command in his voice.

He chuckles darkly, tightening his grip on my mouth. “Is this what you want? Your will taken away?”

I nod again.

He leans down close to my ear and growls, “Stop seeing him!” His warm breath wafts over my skin, raising goosebumps over my flesh.

He climbs off the bed. “I’m not touching you until you stop seeing him!”

I slowly sit up and wipe away the tears hanging off my lashes. “I have to go!”

“Where?” he asks as I pick up my damp clothes. “To him?”

When I start to leave, he seizes my arm and drags me over to the bed.
