“No, mami. I’d never let my guys go out on the frontlines without me by their side. You’re safe here and I want it to stay that way. If all goes well, you’ll never have to worry about Danny again.”

“Okay. I love you,” I tell him softly.

Leo leans down and kisses me deeply and I curl my hands around his neck to hold him to me.
