Chapter 14

Luke

This weekend isn’tgoing how I thought it would. We were supposed to give the girls the party they wanted, then spend the weekend just me and the guys. But because Spawny decided to come out of her hiding spot and actually make an appearance when we're home, Isaac is in one of his pissy moods.

He says he’s going to the gym to avoid running into Abby again, but something tells me he’s off fucking some Dark Night whore.

I try not to let it get to me, but it’s kind of hard not to. I know it all means nothing to him, but I wish he would find a better, healthier way to express his anger and extra energy.

Over time, he grew numb to the pain of pulling the black feather that would grow every time he did something with one of those girls. Or maybe he just enjoys the pain. With Isaac, you never know.

After the Dark Night trash flew away like the little bitch he is and Abby walked demon boy home like a child, Isaac and Noah left the house, leaving me here with fuck all to do.

Abby came back not too long after, and I’ve been watching her from the shadows ever since.

Okay, so the shadows are really the security cameras we have set up in every inch of this place except the room that Isaac’s dad and Veronica share and Abby’s room.

I have thought about installing one without telling the guys. There’s something about that girl that draws me in. I hate it. I feel this pull towards her, and I don’t know why.

We have good reason to hate her, but every time her bright blue eyes look at me, I just want to scoop her up, take her back to my room, and make her scream my name.

I’m not blind, she’s fucking gorgeous, and that sassy tongue of hers gets me harder than I care to admit.

It’s hard to hate her when she hasn’t really done anything since coming here. Sadly for her, she’s the devil's daughter and gets to pay for his sins by association.

For the past hour, I’ve been sitting in our little man cave in the basement. It's where we go when we want to make sure no one can disturb us. I watched her roaming the garden before sitting against a tree and reading. I thought it would be boring, but the little faces she makes while she reads held my interest. The way her eyes light up when something exciting is happening, her lips parting in shock at some parts, but when she gets that lust filled look... fuck, I wish it was meant for me.

The need to pee and my stomach protesting its hunger has me deciding it’s time to leave my little creep-fest and get out of here for a while.

“Hey,” Noah says as I enter the kitchen after using the bathroom.

“Hey, what were you up to?” I ask, grabbing the carton of leftover takeout and putting some on a plate.

He shrugs. “Just out roaming around. I went for a run, ended up in town and browsed some shops before walking back home.”

“Could have flown, you know.” I smirk as I put the plate into the microwave.

“True, but then I would have been home sooner.”

“And that’s a problem?” I ask, cocking a brow as I lean back against the counter.

“Normally, no,” he sighs, running a hand over his short hair. His dark skin has a sheen of sweat coating his toned body. With only a drop-arm tank on, his muscles are on full display, flexing as his hand moves.

“What makes this time different?” I ask, pulling my attention away from his body.

“Surprisingly, it's not the possibility of running into Abby. It’s the fact Isaac is such a moody little bitch lately, and I just don’t want to be around that.”

“I know how you feel.” I give him a forced smile.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Speak his name, and he will appear.

Noah and I share a look before heading in the direction of the backyard.

“I’m sunbathing, what else does it look like?” Abby answers back. When they come into view, Isaac is towering over Abby as she lies in the grass by the pool with Isaac’s body casting a shadow over her. “Now, if you don’t mind moving, you're blocking the sun.”

“Leave,” he growls.

“What? No.” She glares up at him.
