I got to my feet as she headed for her discarded dress. “Ready?”
“I think so.” A pout formed when she held up the ripped garment. “Uh, kind of. Besides,” she added while shimmying into the tight fabric and dropping the towel. “Even if I wasn’t, I don’t care at all. Because...” She threw a nonchalant look over her shoulder and shrugged. “Vegas. Complete with ruined dress.”
“Ah, yeah, sorry about that. Here, take this.” I dug through my bag and tossed a fresh shirt at her.
“I can’t take your shirt!”
“I ruined your dress, so it’s the least I can do. I can’t send you out of here indecently dressed, now, can I?”
She smiled while pulling it on, then giggled when she looked down. The shirt was almost as long as the short dress.
“Looks cute on you,” I drawled with a lazy smile.
“Thanks.” She glanced around, seemingly searching. “Underwear…”
“By the door.”
“Oh.” She laughed a little awkwardly and ducked to pick them up.
I invaded her space the moment she had her panties in-place.
“You’re a wildcat, Lemon Drop. That’s one night I won’t forget in a hurry.”
Her eyes traveled down my bare chest and lingered at the boundary of my unbuttoned pants.
“Trust me, I won’t forget this in a hurry either.”
I stepped closer, gently forcing her back against the door, then set my forearm on the wood above her head.
“Liked it? Or loved it?”
The spark I loved lit in her eyes as they rose up my torso again, practically licking every inch between my snail trail and mouth.
“Loved it,”she whispered, tone dripping with attraction.
I hummed with approval and inched closer, pinning her in place with my hips. Our chests brushed with every elevated breath we took.
“I guess we just say goodbye now?”
Her gaze flicked from my mouth to my eyes. “I guess we do. And… thanks for the sex?”
I snorted humorously. “Yeah, thanks for the sex.”
She looked up at me one last time with those eyes bluer than tropical waters. I swam in them for as long as I could before she blinked and forced me back to reality.
Without another word, I reached around her and opened the door. A weird sense of disconnection washed over me as she bent to gather her high heels, then paused in the open doorway.
It was as if she felt it too. Our pull and connection was like none other. Which was fucking ridiculous since we didn’t know each other. Not truly. That didn’t stop me from reaching for her waist and planting one last kiss on her cheek.
“Bye,” I whispered.
“Bye,” she breathed out, then slipped through the opening to join her friends.
Smirking to myself, I went to shut the door, only to swing it wide again and lean around the door-frame.
“Penny?”
Three sets of expectant eyes turned on me.
