“Yeah, Nicco requested me. You were right, he’s a really good guy. He’s helped me out a lot.”

“So, you guys are friends now?” That could be good or bad.

“Yeah, you could say that.” He smiles. “What can I get you? We have pink champagne with a puff of cotton candy.” His wink pays homage to my hair. “A Tiffany-blue cosmopolitan. Or, anything you’d like.”

“Destiny wants a bottle of water. And I’ll have, um, I don’t know.”

“What do you think the baby will be?”

“They say if you carry low, it’s a boy.” I turn and look at Destiny then laugh and turn back to him. “Honestly, I can’t tell if she’s low or high or somewhere in the middle.”

“I’ll make you a bet.” A devilish smile pulls at his lips.

“A bet? What kind of bet?” Okay, I’ll play along.

“If it’s a boy, you go out with me. If it’s a girl, I’ll stop asking.” He cocks his head to the side with a wicked smirk.

He’s certainly persistent. “You don’t give up, do you?”

His smile vanishes. “Not when it comes to you.”

The air stills as my skin warms.

He shrugs as he opens his hands toward me. “I only have a fifty-fifty chance,” he says, grabbing a bottle of water and placing it in front of me.

Our hot kiss flashes through my mind.I shouldn’t do this.

It’s like his eyes have a spell on me. Kryptonite. I hold out my hand to shake his. “Pink champagne, please,” I say, confirming the bet.

He nods with that sexy grin of his. “Pink champagne.”

Destiny announces the gender guessing game and Enzo hands me her water and my champagne. I take a seat at a small round table where I can be involved in the party and sneak secret peeks at Enzo, even though I shouldn’t. After several fun baby games, it’s time to cut the cake and see what color’s inside. A small part of me hopes it’s blue.
