 She hustled it back to the meet up spot near the entrance,
 
 since she didn’t want her picks to be disqualified for taking too
 
 long to get there. Quinn was there, leaning against the bright
 
 orange fence like it wouldn’t come tumbling down with the
 
 slightest wind. She was tempting fate, big time, but she looked
 
 so happy and carefree doing it, her hair spilling out of that
 
 ugly ball cap, that it stole Dallas’ breath.
 
 “Hey,” Quinn said as Dallas approached. She was
 
 beaming, and it was pretty obvious that she thought she was
 
 going to rock their little competition. “Find anything good?”
 
 “I guess, maybe a couple things. I think I have you all beat
 
 for the old stuff. Maybe the five dollar category too.”
 
 “Ooh!” Quinn exclaimed, but didn’t ask what Dallas
 
 found. That would be kind of cheating, to discuss it
 
 beforehand, without any of the rest of them there. Instead,
 
 Quinn lowered her voice so that just Dallas could hear and not
 
 any of the people passing by. “I talked to my parents last night.
 
 I thought that they’d be understanding, and they were. You’re
 
 more than welcome to come tonight, to Danica’s party.”
 
 “Are you sure?”
 
 “Yeah! I think for them it really helped to have an
 
 explanation. That’s all they really wanted. They said they
 
 would be happy if you came. They’d love to see you again.”
 
 Dallas was floored. She hadn’t really believed that she’d
 
 be able to go to Danica’s party when Quinn extended the
