“No.” She slaps her hands over her mouth and shakes her head.
“They threatened to kill me,” I show her the motion with my finger to my neck, “then I woke up to the perfume sitting on my side table.”
“Oh my god,” I can see she’s shaking, “we need to leave.”
“I think you and Tiny need to leave, as long as I can be sure you’ll be safe. But I am staying with Raiden, he’s my forever.”
“I don’t want you here with someone that wants you dead, Tempest.” She grounds out.
“Do you really think they’ll get by Raiden?” I give her a smirk and raise my brow.
“I don’t care, I don’t want to take that risk.” She retorts just as I see him stand in my doorway. His arms are crossed over his chest and the top of his head nearly brushes the top of the doorway. He’s so large and so very fucking gorgeous.
“No one leaves.” He says and Sky snaps around with a gasp.
“Do you think it’s Hail?” She gets straight to the point.
“I think it’s a possibility,” he walks into the room and I see an outfit in his hand. “My brothers are not happy about how things went down and they blame it on the weakness you girls have given us.”
I don’t hear anything else as a loud buzz takes over my ears. I stare at the leopard print and my throat works to swallow. I can’t put that on, I can’t do it, and it looks like the exact same outfit as I had last year.
“Temp?” Sky rushes to me, “what's wrong?”
“She’s having reservations about the dress code tonight.” Raiden says as he brushes Sky aside and stands in front of me. “The last time she wore this, she was covered in blood.”
“Why are you making her wear it then?” Sky shrieks.
“Dress code.” He shrugs and throws the outfit on my bed. “Come on, Demon.” His hands open my robe and slide inside, covering the mark on my stomach, “you will have the retribution I promised you tonight, let’s make it red with my blood.”
“What?” I finally croak out.
“You’ll see.” He leans in and captures my mouth in a soul gripping kiss. My pussy grows damp even though she couldn’t handle another round with Raiden right now. “Did you soak her?” He asks, like he can read my thoughts.
“Not yet,” I whisper and my eyes flick to Sky’s. She’s looking at us with a mix of confusion and envy.
“You’re gonna wanna do that.” He kisses me again and heads for the door, “be ready, ten o’clock.”
“I don’t know how you did it, but I think he’s softened for you.” Sky mutters.
“‘Softened’ is probably not the right word.” I murmur back as I stare at the outfit on my bed. He said I would get my retribution but I must wear it first.
My insides quake as I’m assaulted with images of the basement, hanging with my feet off the ground, and blood dripping to the floor. Retribution he says will help me move on and if I have to wear this outfit to get there, I will. But first, I really do need to soak in the tub.
“You don’t have to wear that.” Sky looks at it with disgust.
“I bet you’ll find your own in your room.” I tell her.
“I don’t even care,” her shoulders deflate, “I really just want to go home.”
“As soon as I know it’s safe, I will send you there, and you will own The Sanctuary.”
“What?” She looks at me with shock.
“I had it to lure Raiden and it worked.” I shrug, heading to the bathroom, “now I will go wherever he goes. Make Tiny your new manager,” I call from the bathroom.
“This is all insane,” she stands in the doorway as I fill the elegant clawfoot tub, “you know that right?”
“Certifiably.” I grin and nod.
