ChapterSix
Chadka
I’ve checked on Olivia a dozen times since she fell asleep. I shouldn’t be surprised that she’s slept so long. Surgient added a mild sedative to her formula to help her relax after setting the bone. She obviously needed the sleep.
My Little girl said she’d finished her final exams for her nursing degree today, so I bet she’s been studying hard for many long nights. That would explain why she would sleep so hard, but it’s been hours.
I’ve changed her diaper twice without rousing her. I’m glad because she wouldn’t have wanted to realize she’d emptied her bowels so totally, and I’m grateful she has. That puts us one step closer to being able to travel.
I want to get on the transport vessel as soon as we’re cleared. The next six months will be long and boring for me. Now that I’ve found my Little girl, I want to get her home and start our lives together.
I love watching her sleep. That’s a good thing because I’ll be doing so for half a year. I’ll know every inch of her precious body by the time we arrive. Every detail about her nearly flawless tanned skin. I will have run my hands through her thick, wavy, brown hair until I know the feel of it in my sleep. I’ll miss her dark eyes, but they will give me something to look forward to.
I’ve been staring down at her for a long time, enjoying the relaxed way she rests with her arms out to her sides, her legs bent adorably to accommodate her diaper, and her breasts rising and falling with every breath.
The urge to stroke her pretty nipples is strong, but I resist. As much as I want to spend time with her before we begin our travel, I also know that as soon as she wakes up, she’ll have dozens of questions that will be difficult to answer.
My girl is inquisitive by nature. I could see it in her eyes from the moment I met her. She’s often hesitant and goes into her head as she processes new information.
A smile spreads across my face as she suckles the pacifier. She goes through stages, sleeping soundly for a while and then rousing just enough to squirm and suckle before returning to a sound healing sleep.
My phone buzzes in my pocket, and I back out of the room to take the call. I’ve changed out of the suit and tie I’ve worn every night since arriving on this planet into my more comfortable attire of loose black pants.
I glance at the screen as I shut the door to the bedroom partway. I don’t want to risk missing any noises if Olivia should wake up, but I need to take the call from the starship.
“Jefared, how’s the processing going?” Jefared handles all the input on the starship before clearing us for takeoff. Usually he does so with the human female in his office, but in this case, he’s handled everything remotely since Olivia has a broken arm and is sedated.
“Everything looks perfect. I’ve entered her identification into the system. The club has been informed to alert the proper authorities. Since Surgient has already examined her, you’re cleared to leave. A transport vessel will be ready in three hours. Is that okay?”
“Perfect. Thank you so much, Jefared.”
“You’re welcome. Have a nice trip.” He ends the call.
I glance at the elevator doors where I’ve already packed up everything I’ll be taking with us. It’s not much. We don’t come to Earth with many personal items, nor do we return with anything from this planet.
A whimper has me spinning around and hurrying back into the bedroom.
Olivia’s brown eyes are wide, and she’s twisting her head around in confusion. As I reach her side, the pacifier falls out of her mouth. I snag it and stick it in my pocket for later.
“I forgot where I was,” she murmurs in a tiny, sweet voice.
I smile at her, giving her time to let her memory fill in the holes. Setting my hand on her tummy, I rub her soft skin. “You’re safe, Baby girl.” Her heart is beating fast as she tries to stretch out her arms and legs.
She winces when she lifts her right arm, and I drag a pillow over to set it up, slightly elevated. Suddenly, she lifts her head several inches and glances down at her lower body. “I can’t bring my legs together.”
I pat the padding of her diaper between her legs. She’s clean and dry because I changed her not too long ago. “You’ll get used to the sensation, Little one. It won’t take long.”
She pushes with her good hand, trying to sit up between the pillows I have stacked around her to ensure she wouldn’t fall off the bed.
Since she’s so determined, I scoop her off the bed and cradle her against my chest.
She gasps, her gaze on the soft pink diaper. “What am I wearing?” She reaches down to touch it, her gaze shooting to mine. “You put this on me as I was falling asleep.” Her eyes shoot wider. “You fed me a bottle.” Her bottom lip trembles as her voice rises.
I kiss her temple. “There are some things I need to tell you, Little one. Before we leave. It will help you transition when we arrive on Eleadia if you don’t wake up scared and confused.”
Her lip is trembling harder, and a tear runs down her cheek.
It breaks my heart. I knew this would be difficult for her. When Eleadian men come to Earth to find a mate, we spend months learning about human ways and what to expect from them.
