King
“Whowouldhavethought me, Isla Silvers, would fly on another private jet, this time back to the states?”
She walked around the plush cream and walnut wood interior of the plane. Her hand coasting up and down the leather chairs, her fingertips gliding over the sleek polished wood.
“Isla Weston,” Harrison said. “We’re all Weston.”
She smiled and nodded, glancing out of the window.
“It will be fine. We’re going to give you the best life, Isla. You’re going to be cherished,” I said, walking to her. My bond feeling her anxiety.
“I know but I’ll miss my friends and my sisters,” she whispered. “Being so far away. How can I protect them?”
“And you can visit often,” Harrison said from behind me. “If your sisters are anything like you, they don’t need their older sister to protect them in this world.”
She grinned. “Freya is. Do you know my father tried to get her to marry Noah? Apparently, when I was in Vegas, he mentioned it to her. Not that it went down too well. Freya is feisty. She rang me when I was at Tilly’s, telling me she was going to sell herself at the Omega Auctions.”
“She would do that?” I asked.
“I don’t think so. I have a feeling she was trying to frighten my father. A warning for him to back off,” she said.
“And your other sister?” Harrison asked. “Will she be okay?”
Isla chewed her lip and nodded. “Luna is a pure omega and wants nothing more than her Prince Charming to whisk her away. But...”
Harrison raised an eyebrow.
“I think she is covering for something. She let slip about one of her professors at the Omega College.”
“You think she is secretly dating her professor?” I asked.
Isla shrugged her shoulder. “Honestly, I’m not sure, but she refuses to talk about it. Pretends she is interested in finding an alpha, but told me she wants to wait until she finishes college.”
“Omegas are so cunning,” Finn said, at his seat at the front of the plane. He’d been checking the cameras at the casino, making sure none of the staff had done anything untoward and the security system caught all wrongdoings.
He was so happy with his new system, especially as it caught Ian Hoults in the act at the poker table, and now there was enough evidence to send him away for his crimes.
“And alphas are full of sunshine and goodness,” Isla retorted.
“Isla, don’t get cheeky,” Finn called.
“I’m just saying, because I’m the one who married an alpha who had ulterior motives, and I’m the one with a claiming wound on my shoulder because King got lost in the moment,” she called back.
“You married me because you wanted to. Don’t lie. And you claimed King first,” Harrison said, arching an eyebrow.
“Pfft,” Isla said, waving her palm in the air as though to disagree.
I reared my head back and roared with laughter. “Maybe you need something to calm your nerves. I think you’re a little on edge. Why don’t we relax you, baby?”
Isla grinned. “Got something in mind, Alpha?”
“I want to knot you again, but as Finn is the only one that hasn’t had that pleasure, he needs to feel those fluttering walls of yours that I’m desperate to feel again.”
“Yes,” Finn yelled from the front of the plane. “Take her to the bedroom and I’ll be there in a minute.”
I picked her up, and she wrapped her legs around my waist, laughing as I strode to the back of the plane.
“I’m joining the mile high club,” she said, laughing as I dropped her onto the bed.
