“Yes,” he said.
My heart leaped. Maybe I could cancel omega island, maybe I could do this with him. Did I want more than a baby daddy? Did I want an alpha to call my own?
“I’m going to come out and just say it but you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, not only does your perfume turn me on like crazy and I am holding myself back from wanting to fuck you, but I’m attracted to you as a person, not just the omega.”
He grinned at me as my face burned with embarrassment. Nobody had ever been so brazen with me.
“Oh, you’re smooth, Harrison.” I laughed.
“Isla,” he said, kicking his legs off the lounger and leaning forward. “I haven’t been able to take my eyes off you since I first saw you.”
My blood was pounding in my ears at this stranger’s words.
“What would you say if I asked you to come back to my home?” he asked.
“I’d say I am thrilled that you would ask and not drag me back to your home, like some alphas would think they had a right to,” I said.
“And if I said I wanted to fuck you until you screamed my name.”
I squeezed my thighs together to stop any slick from running. With all this dirty talking, all this alpha needed to do right now was to throw me over his shoulder and he could do anything he wanted.
“I want to feel myself buried deep inside you, and I don’t know how I’m going to live without that once you leave.”
“Now you’re sounding a little romantic,” I said and laughed.
I stared at his fingers as he took my hand and stroked them over my palm. I loved the feel of his soft fingers, and the soothing way he touched me that fired quivers down my spine.
“Move over,” he said, not giving me a chance to make the move myself. He placed one large hand under my thigh and the other under my shoulder and lightly shoving me until there was a gap for him to lie down next to me.
“You are obviously used to getting what you want,” I said.
“Yeah. It’s easier than waiting ten minutes for you to get flustered and then calm down, and then do it anyway,” he said arrogantly. But as his body touched against mine and I inhaled his chocolate scent, I didn’t seem to mind.
And as I wasn’t leaving for Omega Island until the day after tomorrow, maybe I could have a little fun with him.
“I can be,” he said, rolling on top of me without warning, his elbows on either side of my shoulders. “So, how about dinner tonight?” he asked.
“Okay?” I said in a breathy voice.
I slid my eyes over his body, lower, taking every inch of him in before our eyes met again, and he was smiling at me. “I think you like the look of me, too.”
I laughed, rearing my head back. “I love modesty in a man.”
He laughed and reached for me and took my hands in both of his as he stretched them until they were above my head and he was fully on top of me.
At the contact, electricity rocketed between us, my breath catching in my throat. I wanted to ask what my scent was to him, but being fooled once already by Noah, I stopped myself from asking. But matching scents, or more likely not, I loved the contact I found with Harrison.
He glanced up at me again and his face was so close to mine, his eyes turning darker, almost black.
I knew that look.
But I was an adult, and I could control this.
He lowered one hand and brushed my hair behind my ear, and I thought it was to get it out of his way. But when our eyes locked, he lowered his face to mine.
I closed my eyes.
Waiting.
