Therewasanunmissable perfume in the air as I stood at the reception counter. I stared around the hotel lobby, my nostrils flaring as I inhaled the most wonderful, chocolaty perfume. One that my inner alpha was desperate to hunt out and find who owned the scent because the fragrance was so intoxicating that my dick was getting jumpy.

It also meant there was an omega around who smelled like none I’d scented before and my inner beast howled, wanting to lick her skin, drink her in, taste every bit of her body until she was squirming for my cock.

And she would.

“Hopefully, it’s not a male omega,” I whispered to myself.

Our pack had no desires for a male omega. We’d been searching for the perfect omega, the one who complimented our pack. The one who completed us and no one had done that up to now.

But I knew this was the one.

The one we’d searched for, the one we hoped to find.

The one that was ours.

The door opened, and she was there.

The most beautiful creature I had ever set my eyes on, her honey blonde hair was in a low messy bun and her make-up—well, let’s say she looked like she’d fallen asleep and it smudged all over her face. There was more mascara underneath her eyes than on her eyelashes and she had a strange sparkle all over her face.

She was still beautiful, and she was wearing a wedding dress—at least what was left of the dress. It looked as though she’d hacked away the bottom in anger. Luckily, she wore a coat over the top as the front was a mess and very short. I dreaded to see what she’d done to the back.

I growled.

She walked into the lobby and the bellhop ran to her, his nose high in the air as he scented her. But her perfume wasn’t for him—it was for me and the way our eyes met, I’d say she scented me too.

She’s mine.

My eyes were fully on her as she smiled and floated to me like an angel not showing her wings. A quick rise and fall of her chest as she realised I was there in front of her, and my heart clenched at how she sucked in a deep breath when she locked eyes with me.

She felt the connection between us at once. I could see it in her eyes as she strode to me and I rushed from my place at the side of the counter.

“Let me,” I said, nodding to the bellhop to take a hike and taking her suitcase from her hands and to the counter.

“Hello, I’m Harrison, may I take your name please?” Her perfume was stronger now, causing the sweet smell of chocolate to rush down my nostrils and into my throat. I swallowed back every drop.

“Isla... mm... the booking is under Nichols, but please change it to Silvers. I don’t want to be associated with that man any longer,” she hissed, glaring at me with her big blue eyes. Eyes that looked a little too big for her heart-shaped face.

She was definitely angry and not upset.

I punched her name into the computer and smiled and took the key. “Let me escort you,” I said.

She smiled. “Thank you.”

I dragged the suitcase to the elevator and waited for her to enter, following her inside and flashing her card against the screen.

“I’m assuming the wedding didn’t work out?” I asked, glancing down at the dress.

She looked down at her legs and I followed her gaze, from the ivory silk high heels to the dress that stopped mid-thigh.

“Nope, but I'm going to have just as much fun on my none honeymoon,” she said and gave me a tiny wink.

I growled, she squeaked.

The elevator pinged, and I strolled to her room, flashing the card over the reader and pushing the door, holding it to let Isla inside before me.

She gasped when she looked around the room, she was booked into one of the best rooms in the hotel and obviously knew nothing about it.
