And I mean it. For once, there’s a calm in life I hadn’t ever thought I needed.
“Just wanted another moment with you before it all gets a little crazy.”
“Is that so?”
Moving closer, her arms threading around the back of my neck, holding onto me, she meets my eyes and gives a small, almost impish smile.
“Yeah, that is so,” I utter, pulling her down.
To prove it, I kiss her, lingering a little longer on her lips before I let her go.
“I’ll be right behind you.”
