I scream and try to shove at him. He laughs and covers both my hands with his.

"No one is going to save you." He laughs, his eyes alight with pleasure.

I freeze as my ears pick up the sound of rustling leaves.

My wolf howls in my chest.

I don't think. I just flail my arms, trying to get him off of me.

Death stares at me.

I'm too weak to fight back.

I've failed.

He's going to kill me.

No one's going to come to save me.

He rips the front of my bra open and I struggle, but he's too strong.

My wolf gives up, and it's just me. I'm human, and I'm going to die.

"No," I cry. "No!"

"You've been begging for this for a long time, bitch," Casey laughs.

I hear growls and bones crunching.

I'm going to die.

I can feel the strength leaving my body.

"No... please," I beg and reach for my wolf, but she's still trapped.

“Let me break her for you,” a man leers at me, sauntering up to Casey. He’s not part of our pack and I don’t recognize him. But the glare in his eyes tells me he’ll enjoy making this hurt.

“Sure.” Casey steps back with a smirk. “As long as we can watch.”

The man slaps me across the face, laughing. His hands fist in my hair as he holds me down.

Pain lashes out all over my body and I scream, swiping my nails across his throat.

Hot blood gushes over me. Casey's eyes widen, then go glassy. His body goes limp.

What happened?
