“I was hoping to spend some time with you, if that’s okay,” I explained, my hand finding his.
“I think you both have plenty to talk about,” Caleb added, that knowing gleam sparking again. “Angel, will you walk me to the door?”
“Sure,” I agreed.
I let my heels slide off by the couch before I followed Caleb. Sliding into his brown leather jacket, Caleb invited me closer. His arms wrapped around my waist as he kissed me fully, leaving me with a tingling memory until we met again.
“Are you going to take care of him?” Caleb murmured in my ear.
His warm breath sent a shiver down my spine. I could already tell this was going to be a thing for us. Caleb’s generous nature had a very sinful side.
“Oh, sweetheart, wouldn’t you like to know?”
His laugh was resonant and rich. “I guess you can find out when you come over Monday night.”
“I can’t wait.”
“Me either,” he agreed before offering me one final kiss.
I shut the door behind him, and I realized I was left alone in Warren’s condo. After that time and wondering, our night had finally arrived.
