The milks, syrups and add-ins will do the rest. Of course, mochas, lattes, iced coffees, maybe frappes depending on the equipment. Black tea, green tea, herbal teas.” Excitement built in my voice, and I felt as if I were vibrating as I talked. The more I’d delved in today, the more concepts had flooded into my thoughts. I couldn’t wait to open. “I scratched down a bunch of ideas while I was at the shop this morning.”

Right then, Judd’s phone rang, and I held out my hand, already knowing who it was.

With a huff, he handed it over, but without my intervention, he’d undoubtedly just continue to dodge the event planner.

“Hey, Greta,” I answered.

“Mimi? Oh…I thought I was calling your annoying husband. When I get my hands on him—”

“Hands to yourself, girl,” I cut in on a laugh. “He’s all mine, and I’m also taking care of your problem. Tonight, I want you to advertise Lover’s Lane asThe Maze to Nowhere. “Experience the Maze to Nowhere,” she said. “Okay, I can work with that. But he better fix whatever he did. I’m ready to take an ax to a couple of the walls.”

“Don’t do that!” I exclaimed. EvenIknew that could mess with the structural integrity and make entering the labyrinth dangerous. I eyed my husband, making it clear what I expected. “Judd will fix it.”

And strangely, I was looking forward to that adventure with him, even in the dead of night.
