Katherine rolled her eyes and groaned. “I just want to elope. I’m so over all this wedding talk that it’s losing its excitement.”

“I keep telling her let’s just go to Vegas.” JD kissed Katherine’s cheek.

“Your mother would have an aneurysm.” Katherine laughed. “But it’s very tempting just to have something small and not waste a fortune on a party.”

“Why don’t you have it in Colorado? The house is almost complete and the view from the backyard is amazing,” Jane offered. “We could have a cute wooden arch with flowers decorating it, with the mountains in the background. If it’s a small wedding, it shouldn’t take too long to plan.”

Katherine’s eyes lit up. “Are you serious?”

Jane smiled. “Of course! I’m thinking boho chic.” Jane was getting excited. “We could have the hotel cater it. They have an amazing food and I hear they do a great dessert bar. Ooooh and the bed-and-breakfast is really cute!”

“There’s also a place on top of the mountain that you could get married on, it’s just a gondola ride up,” I said, and Jane gave me a beautiful smile.

“Let’s do it.” JD looked at Katherine seriously.

Katherine looked at Jane, unsure. “I don’t want to impose and make too much trouble. What if the house isn’t ready?”

“We will have most of the house finished in the next week or two. The weather should be great for the next month, so you can even have it outside.” I look at Katherine to ease her doubts.

“I think it sounds like a fantastic idea! Something small and intimate,” Sabrina said as she looked at her phone. “We could do the weekend of the eighteenth or the twenty-fifth.”

The girls started planning and once color schemes and fabric choices came into play until Jane laid a hand on my thigh and my mind went to shit. They called the grooms for the first dance, and the girls whispered more about the wedding.

I looked over to see Jane looking like she was having a good time. She was smiling and laughing a lot more than I’ve seen in the last couple of weeks, occasionally touching me more and more and I swear I felt every touch in my dick. Once they invited everyone to dance, the girls got up and made their way to the dance floor.

“I’m regretting not getting a room here.” JD looked at Katherine like he was ready to take her into a corner and have his way with her.

“I told you. I knew you were going to regret it.” Matthew leaned back, checking out his own wife.

I glance over at Jane swaying her hips, giving me more naughty things to think about. She laughed at whatever the girls were saying as they danced together.

“This hotel is fucking expensive. Katherine would have had an aneurysm if I booked it and you know she’s been frugal ever since we’ve decided to get married and have kids.” Katherine looked back at JD like she might regret her decision, too. Why did weddings make everyone horny?

“You know weddings are like an aphrodisiac for women. She would have thanked you after you thoroughly had your way with her.” Matthew grinned at JD as I laughed, eyeing Jane and that dress that left little to the imagination.

“Fuck you guys.” JD took a sip of his drink.

“It’s not too late to get a room. I’m sure they still have some,” David chimed in, watching his pregnant wife like he might leave sometime soon, too.

“I have a bag packed in the car, for just in case, but I’m scared the only room they will have is an expensive ass room.” JD looked at the back of the room, looking like he was still deciding what to do. I smiled at him, knowing how I was going to repay him for the tattoo he didn’t let me pay for earlier.

“I gotta use the restroom.” Before anyone said anything, I got up and left. I made my way out of the ballroom and went straight to the front desk. JD was right, only the more expensive ones were available, but I was ok with that. I was still getting a bargain for what I would have paid for the tattoo. I added a bottle of champagne and strawberries to be in the room ready for them when they decided they were ready to go up.

I walked back into the ballroom to see Katherine back at the table, but Jane and the other women were still dancing as David joined them.

“I miss the days when we would hang out like this.” Katherine was leaning against JD. “Everything changed after they got married.” I sat down overhearing her and noticing Matthew and JD give each other a look. It felt like this was another clue to JD’s earlier comment, but it still made little sense.

Katherine looked up at me and smiled. “You know’ Callum, I like you.”

I smiled back at her. “Thanks, I like you guys too. I thought this was going to be more painful than it really was.”

Katherine laughed. “I thought the same thing, too.” She raised her glass to me and took a drink.

“It’s still early.” Matthew laughed as he raised his glass, too.

I did the same and then slid the room keys to JD. “Thanks for the tattoo, man.” JD looked at the keys and then at me. “Since you didn’t let me pay or tip, I figure this was the least I could do.”

“Is that a key to a room here?” Katherine looked excited.
