“Worried?” She looked at me, confused. “Why would you be worried?”

“Sounds like they are trying to get rid of me by dangling something too good to be true to me.” I smirked at her as she laughed.

“JD is harmless, but Matt he can be a little intense, kind of like Aiden. I’m sure you can handle him. Though I’ve heard good things about the Boardroom; my brothers have memberships, so they constantly talk about it.” She took a sip of her coffee, savoring it.

“Nice. I might join them and maybe get a workout at the gym,” I said, taking another bite of food; damn this food was almost as good as Nate’s.

“If not, you could join Madie and I.” She smirked. “We could always get you a wax too.”

“Yeah, I think I’ll pass, but you guys have fun.” I rolled my eyes.

She giggled, making me smile and enjoy the sound of her laughter.

“Are we expecting a shit show again?” I asked, not really wanting to talk about it but feeling like we, both needed to be on the same page.

“I hope not. I think yesterday was my brother’s way of trying to get back at me for being gone, but it’s his fucking wedding and I do not know why he’s being such a drama queen.” She sounded hurt. “Today should be smooth sailing and hopefully he will be so wrapped up in his day that we can just drink, dance and hopefully eat good food.”

“No one said anything about dancing. I’m an awful dancer.” I cleaned my hands on a napkin, worried she might make me dance.

“I’m sure you’re not bad, but I won’t torture you. The girls and I will probably do the dancing.” She cleaned off her plate, putting it on the nightstand and leaning back. “My brothers aren’t much dancers either, so you’ll have company.”

“Are we all sitting together?” I hoped I wouldn’t have to be alone.

“Oh yeah, it will be my brothers with their wife and fiancée, Madie, her husband and us. I made sure we weren’t stuck in a weird table with God knows who. Alright, I got to get ready and head out. Let me know if you need anything.” She leaned over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to adjust to get a quick peck on the lips, but I chickened out last minute.

I didn’t want to rush her, but I also didn’t know how to hold back. I’ve never had to face the consequences of hooking up with someone, but it wouldn’t be just hooking up with Jane. It didn’t feel right to just have sex with her and be done. The guys even felt it, too. I wasn’t sure if this was a dumb idea to start anything or a great start to a relationship with all of us.

She jumped off the bed and got ready for her appointments while I finished my food, thinking about what this might be. After Jane left, I got ready to join the guys at this Boardroom. It was a lot cooler than I expected with the pool table and beers. I ended up getting what they called the benchmark, which I can really see why Matt and JD liked it. Not only did I get a haircut, but a wax thing on my hands with a hand and scalp massage.

They sold me on the place but too bad they didn’t have one in Mountain View. The guys and I shot the shit for a bit while each of us got our shit done. They were both dreading the day but also making plans to keep the drama to a minimum.

Afterwards, we picked up a quick lunch, and I went back to the hotel for a workout and to get ready. I got back in time to shower before Jane showed up, rushing into the bathroom after me. It was only three, but apparently that was barely enough time to get ready even though her hair was done. I got dressed in the living room cuffing my cuff links and making sure my tie was on correctly. I don’t know how men wore suits and tuxes; they felt so stuffy, very restricting. I threw my jackets on to make sure the whole thing looked ok.

My phone rang, and I picked it up without checking.

“I haven’t gotten my picture.” Aiden’s voice came through.

“She’s still not out of the room yet.” I chuckled because I was feeling impatient, too. “I feel like a moron in this tux.”

“I’m sure you look fine, plus if I had to wear a tux to sleep in the same bed with Jane, I wouldn’t complain.” I knew he would have been here in a heartbeat if he didn’t have to work.

“I’ve gotten great sleep with her, though it’s fucking hard waking up with a morning wood and not doing anything about it.” I fixed my cuffs again, getting nervous.

Aiden laughed. “I’m surprised you’ve had control this whole time. I think I would have lost it the first night.” The door to the bedroom opened, and I looked up to see Jane.

Jesus Christ. This woman was going to be the death of me. I got hard just looking at her. She looked fucking gorgeous in an emerald, green dress that had a deep v in the front, showing cleavage and a slit that went up most of her leg.

“Callum?” Aiden called out to me, pulling me from my stupor.

Jane smiled at me. “Jane, you look gorgeous.”

“Fuck, is it that good?” Aiden said, and I was glad I didn’t have it on speaker.

“Thanks.” She looked unsure of herself, but she still blushed. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt your phone call.”

She walked across the living room with her shoes in her hand. My phone rang again, and I noticed it was Aiden using FaceTime, probably tired that I wasn’t answering him. He popped up on my phone. “Let me see” was all he said.

Jane looked at me, confused. “Aiden wants to see you.” I turned the phone around so he could see her.
