“Me either,” he said with a smile on his face.
“So maybe we should give it a shot?”
“I’ll see,” Davit said.
“‘I’ll see.’ So ominous sounding,” I said, smiling at him.
He laughed back and reached across the seat to clasp my hand.
It occurred to me that I couldn’t remember a time that I had been happier.
And that terrified me.
