I nodded, then went to the back, trying to keep nerves at bay.

I tried a few more things, then a few more, and after about twenty minutes, I emerged to find Kayla standing in the same spot.
“All this stuff is so nice. I’m not sure what to get,” I said.
“Then get it all,” Kayla responded, like it was the most obvious answer.
I was quiet for a moment, then smiled at her. “Kayla, I think I’m going to like you.”
