“No. Of course not.”
“Fine.” Pressing the camera button, I take three photos. One from the front, one from the side and the final one from the back. She needs to see all the holes. Sending it, I do the right thing and merely ask, Is this too skimpy?
Please say yes…
I stare at the screen hoping the dots appear soon. Ryann sidles up to me, looking at the screen a well. We don’t have to wait long.
Elizabeth: OMG! No. Not skimpy at all. That’s adorable. Wow. She’s so gorgeous. She looks just like her mom, doesn’t she? Beautiful. Be sure to tell her how pretty she looks. Wow-wow-wow!
The pair of us stare at the screen for several seconds. I’m afraid to say anything. Ryann speaks first. “That was nice of her.”
“You do look beautiful. And she’s right, you look like Tina.”
My girl nods, saying in her sassy way, “Guess I’m getting it.”
“I guess you are, smart-ass.”
That gets me a giggle, one I’ll remember for a long-ass time.
