“Nothing,” she said, a little surprised at the question. “I’m happy the way I am. I told you.”
I wanted to press the issue further, but she licked her lips and wrapped them around my cock and my little soldier got his way after all, at least for the time being.
When she was finished, she stood and put on a robe, then smiled at me. “I made you a special dinner, Daddy.”
“Really?” I said, “That’s wonderful! I can’t wait.”
She giggled and kissed me on the cheek, then pranced to the kitchen. She looked so happy. I couldn’t recall ever seeing her so confident. I wondered again if maybe I should just let it go and let her be happy.
I couldn’t do that, though. Being a Daddy wasn’t just about making her happy every second of the day. Sometimes, true happiness required hard work and I intended to put in that hard work and help her put in the hard work she needed to put in.
When I arrived at the dining room, Rayna stood in front of two settings with perfectly cooked ribeye steak, baked potatoes with butter and chives, and a gorgeous rice pilaf. A lit candle stood in the center of the table and two glasses of deep red wine stood next to each place. The bottle on the table declared the wine to be a cabernet of excellent quality.
I smiled at her and said, “Wow, little girl. This looks delicious.”
She squealed and clapped her hands and practically shoved the first bite of steak into my mouth. The food was every bit as delicious as it looked, and I enjoyed it for a while before I returned to the subject of her future.
I asked her again what I could help her with, and she again said, “Nothing Daddy. I’m okay with the way things are.”
I kept asking, trying different angles and approaches, wondering what I could say that would finally inspire her to tell me how I could help her. As I talked, I could see her becoming more and more uncomfortable. I mistook that to mean I was getting closer to the truth she didn’t want to talk about and pressed harder until suddenly, she stood and threw her fork onto the table. It clattered off the table onto the floor and skidded until it reached a corner of the wall.
I watched her in shock as she pointed at me and shouted, “You lied to me!”
