“Yes.”

“You trust me to run the warehouse after…” He gestured to Frank and Matt’s bodies on the ground.

“Of course.” I smiled as if nothing were amiss. “You told me the truth and you weren’t taking any money. But most importantly, now you know what not to do, right?”

He nodded his head vigorously.

“Good. Then we’re on the same side.” I patted his cheek. “You should probably go and get cleaned up.”

Ray looked down at his piss-soaked pants and the blood splatter on his shirt.

“Someone needs to go with him,” I said to Nate. “Take the clothes that he’s wearing and burn them. All of them including his shoes and socks.”

“Yes ma’am.” Then Mike turned to Ray. “You’re not sitting in my car pissing up my seats. I got a blanket in the trunk.” He led Ray out of the back room. “Get it and wrap it around your waist.”

“Now,” I said turning my attention to Nate and Ricky.

Nate was on the phone. He hung up and shoved it into his back pocket. “Cleaner’s on his way.”

“Good.” I looked around, thinking. “Where are their cell phones?”

“Probably in their pockets,” Ricky replied. “You want us to take them?”

I chewed on the question. “No, they work here. Their cell phones would ping here, so it makes sense. When they take the bodies, leave their phones in the office. Did you call them?”

“Yes ma’am,” answered Ricky.

“That makes sense. You guys work together.” I paced, taking everything in. “You were looking for them. Came here and found their phones.”

“What do you want to do now?” asked Nate.

I glanced back at the bodies. “Ricky, stay here and wait for the cleaner. I need you to drop me off somewhere. Then I want you to find Little Jimmy and bring me his hand.”

“Bring him to you?” asked Ricky.

“Not what I said, Ricky.” I let out a deep breath. “Bring me his hand. Preferably the dominant one. And don’t take the jewelry off.”
