“I’m used to it.”
 
 “What? Me being mean?”
 
 “Yeah. You’re always mean.”
 
 Madison punched at my chest. “Shut up, Mav.”
 
 I grinned and leaned down, needing to kiss her.
 
 My lips gently brushed against hers.
 
 “Mav,” she whispered.
 
 “I know,” I said. “Too risky right here.”
 
 I kissed her one more time and then walked away to meet my team in the locker room.
 
 After I stripped off all my upper body goalie equipment I sat down and took a deep breath.
 
 A few seconds later, Remi appeared in front of me.
 
 I looked up at him.
 
 “You okay?” he asked me.
 
 “Yeah, why?”
 
 “I know that look.”
 
 “I have a look?” I asked.
 
 Remi swatted the thick pads on my legs with his hockey stick.
 
 “That’s the look of a guy falling in love with someone…”
