Why wasmy heart beating so fast as I watched my brother take Catalina back to the room to clean up?

Why did my arms feel so fucking empty all of a sudden?

I almost didn’t want to let her go, which was ridiculous. She wasn’t going anywhere.

Just back to the room.

I rubbed away the small pinch in my chest, looking down at my rough hands.

Mikhail came out alone, drawing my attention.

At least he was dressed now, back in jeans and a T-shirt. His inquisitive blue eyes took me in. “Okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”

He shrugged. “You’re just different, is all.”

I scoffed at that, though I felt it.

“How long are we going to stay here?” I asked, changing the subject. The look he shot my way told me he wasn’t fooled. But he let it go.

“Don’t know. We have to let the women go first.”

I sat up a little higher. “We don’t let people go.”

“I know that.”

But something told me that was going to change this time.

I shook my head. “You’re fucking pussy-whipped, and you haven’t even gotten any pussy yet.”

He narrowed his eyes on me, and if he punched me in the face for that comment, it would have been well deserved. But he surprised me when he threw his head back and laughed.

“You’re one to talk.”

I rolled my neck, working out the crick. Fuck. I was still hard from making Catalina come. It didn’t help that her scent still lingered … on my fingers …

Fuck. She got to me.

I looked down at my scarred hands.

Hands that were undeserving of touching her. But that wasn’t going to fucking stop me until I owned her completely. Not even then.

That was a promise I was making to myself.

“I’m gonna talk to them first. They’re in the room next door?”

Mikhail nodded. “Catalina wants you to take her with you.”

I looked at him with incredulous eyes. “And why the hell would I do that?”

He laughed again, annoying the fuck out of me. If he laughed any harder, I might punch him in the face. And that would be verywell deserved.

He clasped his hands on my shoulders. “’Cause you’re like me. Fucking pussy-whipped. And only Damien had her.”

Fuck.
