I fidgeted on my feet.

I thought I looked nice when I looked at myself in the mirror after putting on the dress and brushing my hair. I didn’t have any makeup on, though. I couldn’t even remember the last time I had worn something as simple as lipstick, and admittedly, I thought my skin looked a little pale from the lack of sunlight, but I looked nice … didn’t I?

Slowly, I walked over to him. He held out his hand and I hesitantly placed my much smaller hand in his. His palm was warm and big and rough. It felt nice against my own.

“Oh, princess. You look good enough to eat.”

I bit my bottom lip.

“Are you wearing the underwear I brought you?”

I hesitated before nodding.

“Show me,” he commanded, moving me closer to him.

I gulped in a hard breath, looking at him. He didn’t do anything more than stand there, waiting for me to make my move. I wondered if my reluctance had more to do with my shyness than it did with me not wanting to do this for him.

There was already a familiar pounding between my legs when I grabbed the hem and pulled the dress up, showing off the pale blue underwear I had chosen.

Nikolay groaned, running his fingers lightly over the thin fabric covering my mound. My grip tightened on the dress.

“Fuck, the fact that something I bought you is touching your sweet pussy is enough to drive me insane. Are you wet for me, baby?”

I didn’t answer him.

I didn’t know how.

He smirked. “Later. I can find out later.”

The dark promise in his voice made my heart race. I slowly let the dress fall. I had been right. It surpassed my knees by an inch, and it flared at the hip. I felt like a fairytale princess.

Nikolay opened the door to the room and crossed over the threshold. I hesitated.

He looked back at me, his hand still holding mine. “Princess?”

I held my breath as I moved out of the room for the first time.

It felt surreal.

Having been stuck in the room for so long, I was getting sick of the four walls that surrounded me. But now that I was out of it … for some unknown reason, I didn’t feel safe.

I moved closer to Nikolay.

He bent his head down.

“Stay close to me. I won’t let anything happen to you, okay?”

It shouldn’t make me feel better to know that this bomb was promising to keep me safe, but it did.

It fucking did.

I stayed close to him, one hand holding his and the other clutching his shirt. He didn’t push me away.

The house was much bigger than I remembered, and when we got downstairs, I could hear noises coming from another room next to the living room. It sounded like some sort of party.

I looked through the open doorway, pausing when I saw Damien and Mikhail, their backs to us.

As if he could feel my eyes on him, Mikhail turned, his gaze landing directly on me.
