Alec
Blake and I were fraternal twins. Even though we were brothers, I still loved Derek like he was one. We’d saved each other’s lives one too many times on the field, and we’d even at one point gone to the same school. Not the same year, he was a couple of years older than me, but there was something about being in the Navy together that stopped us worrying about each other’s ages and just making sure we had something in common.
That something was survival. When we were dismissed at the same time for being on the same team, but turning against our Lieutenant, we decided to move up here.
Derek had a friend who was a stuntman, and he offered for Derek to tag along with him for the interview. It resulted in the guy being out of work, and Derek getting the job. He had the looks and his dad was an ex-car salesman and Dereks had got his charm from him. That part was for sure.
The only issue was that Derek was kinda closed minded, and I must admit that I was until I spoke to Rick last night. We both were in the same unit too at some point and we kept in touch once in a while. He had a growing family and it seemed as if it was growing bigger every year. Just as well he was in polygamy relationship to help look after all those babies.
Rick told me about how his life turned upside down the moment Katie entered it. She’d shown him things he’d never known were possible. It sounded crazy hearing him share his wife, let alone his life with his brothers. He admitted, they were happy. Something he never thought was possible until she came into their lives.
I didn’t know if Derek would be into it at first after speaking to Rick but after seeing him looking a little down today. I was hundred percent sure. Derek he lived for the moment was talking about the future, then again it made sense. He couldn’t be stunting in his fifties or sixties. That would be nuts. Then again, I didn’t know that much about the industry to judge, but it would be logical for him to have to retire at an early age.
Maybe we didn’t need a wife, maybe something else to look forward to, to motivate us. When we moved here, it had been quiet since the renovation of the house. It was a fucking dump, how people actually lived in a house which had more mold and decay than a heavy smokers mouth, was beyond my understanding.
Then again, I’d heard Derek jerking off the other night and I nearly told him to just take a visit to the local brothel. Even if it was something he would never consider doing.
“You’ve got that look,” he waved his finger at me, as he popped the last piece of meat on the ribs that he just finished. I knew I was hungry, but compared to him, it was nothing. His dark eyes darted at me suspiciously. I wasn’t good at hiding my emotions and I made it obvious something was bothering me, but I preferred for him to eat before I told him what.
“We are ordering…”
I nodded, Derek had his eye on me as if he could tell my plan had an ulterior motive. One which involved us eating first and then discussing later.

“We’ve eaten in silence, which means you have something to tell or ask me. I didn’t enjoy my steak and fries. My favorite plate, because of it.”
For someone who didn’t enjoy their meal, the plate sure was shining. It was as if they brought an empty plate, because there was not one fry, nor trace of the gravy which was poured on to the steak. Nothing, and the way that Derek started to tap the table I knew he wanted his dessert. His chocolate cake and ice-cream. He had a sweet tooth, which was why he spent nearly every waking moment in his strict exercise routine.
“So, are you..”
“Yes.”
Now, I was the one losing my patience.
“Well, I was thinking about Rick and his relationship and thinking maybe we should do something like that.”
“Get married?”
His chocolate brownie and ice-cream was placed in front of him. No more was he uptight, if anything he had a smile on his face, which no doubt meant that he had an open mind.
“Get a woman.”
He nodded in agreement. “You need one. I’ve heard you at night and is not pretty.”
I titled my head back, wondering what he was going on about.
Then he made some motion with his hands and then I laughed, thinking he had me confused with Alec. He was a jerk and a porn lover. Not me.
“Alec. man. Not me.”
He nearly choked, as he wiped his mouth and then he realized what I was saying to him.
“But his room is on the other side of the hall.”
I nodded. Thinking of course, I knew where his room was, and this was the reason why I always waited an hour before heading to my room after Alec. When we all moved in together, I never knew about his extra night activities but from the moment I found out. I decided I would spend more time downstairs and whenever Alec jerked off, it was his time to go to sleep. He needed it to sleep. Everyone needed something and that just happened to be his thing.
“Damn! I can’t believe it.”
