He cleared his throat, and then I could hear the door open and a set of lungs that could probably wake up everyone in the damn neighborhood.

“Right. Someone’s awake.”

He confirmed what I was already thinking, so he had to go and this conversation had to be cut short.

“Text me the name. See to the kids and we’ll catch up when I have something.”

“Right. Bye.”

He said as I could hear the urgency in his voice, and he was going to attend to his kids. He did sound stressed and not the same uptight Rick that I used to speak to all the time. One thing was clear, he was happy. Being part of a harem, I had worked for him and I could imagine him helping his family. Maite was a successful story with her tacos storming the whole of L.A.

I could see why he was frustrated. I shot up and decided that as soon as I was done with Tim, that I would search and help him out with his query about his future employee.

As my phone chimed as he sent the name. I noticed that Tim did too, he’d sent me a photo while I was on the phone to Rick. A strange one. I needed to check it out, then I would head back here and help a friend, before doing that, I had some police business to sort out.
