That reminds me of another thing I want to share with her.
I notice her eyes flutter, and she glances at the empty plate as if it’s too hard to hold my gaze.
It reinforces my suspicion that she knows I was the one dancing with her. I have the dirty thought that perhaps we could have something, despite being cousins. I need to know she feels the same, though.
“Want to go for a ride?” I suggest.
Cassie looks up with a soft glow in her eyes. “Sure. I just have to shower real quick.”
“No need. We’re going swimming. I’ll meet you at the gates. I have a surprise.”
She perks up. “What kind of surprise?”
A sly grin on my face, I wiggle my brows and tell her, “You’ll see.”
